Congratulations! I wish you many happy years in your new house. Very good and wholesome move from the previous owners to give it to another family instead of investors.

Congratulations Dima and Marina! What a good news! I hope you will have a long happy and healthy time in the new house! Now the organizing time starts to have new things and to get rid of old things that are not functional in the new house. At the gemeentehuis you can usually get a brochure of things you need to organize when you move address. Because you need to tell several organisations you will move. Several subscriptions need to be transferred to the new address with a correct moment of transfer. Your paper mail, internet, tv substription, communal address etc

Congratulations! Haven must be the oldest part of Almere, predating even the final stage of planning of the railway, but obviously off the route from Amsterdam to Lelystad. (At the time, buses would run from several parts of Almere to Amstel station in Amsterdam, with exchange stops at Het Oor stop.) Around 1980, I had friends living in De Werven quarter. The dedicated bus loop was more or less complete, and everytime I visited them, another quarter with a bus stop was being added. For that was the concept of Haven: everything within reach of a bus stop, everything reachable by car, but only in some branching structure, and direct routes for pedestrians and cyclists. Marina and Dima, you may well find that the "best" way to a railway station (likely Almere Centraal) is by bike. Maybe less than fifteen minutes. (I haven't been in Almere recently, except passing that harbor basin on a bicycle roundtrip from Amsterdam: entering Flevoland via the Stichtse Brug, leaving it via the Hollandse Brug. By the way, I loved the Kromslootpark between Haven and the Hollandse Brug.

I like the fact that the municipality of Almere has several residential areas with nice simple names. Like Almere-Stad (city), Almere-Haven (harbor), Almere-Hout (wood), Almere-Poort (gate) and Almere-Buiten (out or outside, in this case meaning outer limits). Congratulations with your house.

Bidding on a house is really not normal. My wife and I are looking at a retirement home. Not because we are old. But for health. €380000 comes first +10% and then for €15000,-. RENOVATION! We have been married for almost 23 years, and our first (purchased) house. Was almost paid for by own money. The Spakenburg mentality. Hard work. Good life. Greetings from Spakenburg Netherlands

Congratulations. Inflation is coming in the Eurozone. Within 10 years your house will be worth at least 30% more. Take a 10 years or more fixt rent at the bank. Always a good deal.
