We’ll I sure enjoyed following you on this journey and meeting up with you in the last 2 years. Ernie Boys must have inspired you with all his off-road adventuring last year!! Good luck finding a suitable base vehicle; hope to meet up with you and Shelley sometime down the road!!

Down sizing won’t be fun. It was so hard for you to go to 40 foot now less then half that again. I’ll be thinking about the heart aches but am glad you will get to see your dreams of going further out and exploring places most of us won’t get to see. We’ll be glad to see your new adventures in the Outback and get to see some of the beautiful views never been or hardly ever been seen before. Can’t can’t wait to see your new videos, soon to be coming. We are excited for you. Happy trails. Hope to see you again some day

I see this a lot... Folks use a full size bus conversion for awhile and then decide to down size a bit That might eventually happen with ours. But I still need to finish it first! I'm guessing you'll really like what you build and I'm looking forward to seeing what you do with it. Look into doing plywood, epoxy, fiberglass construction inside. You could likely design everything in fusion 360 and CNC the interior parts.

Hello again Knapps! I've been with you from the beginning of your bus adventure, and have been inspired and informed many times. I bought an old bus with the first c19 stimulus check, and was able to buy insulation and floor plywood with the second stimulus check (thank you American taxpayers...sorry). I'm about 90% done with the interior, which is almost all recycled materials...walnut, cherry, oak wood and stainless steel from a major dumpster score (thanks wasteful WalMart remodelers)...all done on a super restricted budget (thanks crappy SS retirement). Things have been on hold for a few months while my savings have a chance to catch up a bit. I've been somewhat depressed for quite a while when I realized that I will need many thousands of dollars for new tires, new batteries, insurance, fuel, and God knows what else...I can't see where that money would come from. BUT, about two months ago I got my enthusiasm back when I decided to just park the bus in the woods a couple hundred feet from my little cabin and and turn it into a tiny home only....it will never go on the road, and that's just fine with me. My heart is lighter and I'm back to work on the project, knowing that I just save a fortune and will be living in an incredibly beautiful little home in the woods. No worries about breaking down, getting towed, getting stuck somewhere trying to turn around, etc. I've poured a small, but thick slab under each axel so I can get the thing level and stable and am planning a deck and maybe turning the bus into a giant "Woody" with more of the old wood I've scrounged over the years....happy days!!!! I can travel in my little pickup if I ever want to, but I am loving where I am now, so maybe not (I'm in the Arkansas Ozarks in a little cabin). I just wanted to say thank you both for putting your videos online and I am looking forward to the box truck build. You might consider keeping your bus and doing what I'm doing with mine....no more sad thoughts about getting rid of all blood, sweat and tears you've poured into your bus... Thanks again, and God bless you both! -Mark
