I'm probably going with a Tile, myself. I definitely want a tracker on my chair, just in case.

Tile trackers is what I used. Well at least for a year. Hopefully these don't go "bad" expire after a year. Garage is coming along quickly.

Have one in mine in a snap case which sticks to the chair. 2 tips I can offer: 1- AirTags are not real-time trackers like GPS. It continuously pings for nearby iPhones and once connected that’s when you’ll see your item in Find My. If you chair is stolen and in some warehouse with no iPhones, you’ll only see its last location. W- Do not place your AirTag in such a place that it’ll be difficult to retrieve. You have to change the battery at least once a year. Love mine and I’m also an all Apple guy.

The people who are the most outspoken “anti high tech” are usually the biggest “closet” users of these products. If you’re old enough to remember the song Junk Food Junkie, you’ll get the idea.

All companies have their good and bad aspects. The more important thing is your relationship with their product. I deploy technologies from multiple companies. Each application has its strengths.

Have to agree with others concerns over air tags not being equivalent to a GPS tracker. Hopefully this doesn't become an issue, but it does someone limit the tags usefulness
@TotallyNormal-3 ай бұрын
understandable for sure! the nice thing is, a lot of enterprise ubiquity network hardware, cable modems, and other consumer home security cameras are part of the network for locating these things! mainly i just wanna know if it got left behind in another city or whatnot

try flying with approved lithium batteries isn't absolutely nightmare especially with Southwest Airlines! So some airlines will be messed around with battery cables even without your permission
@TotallyNormal-3 ай бұрын
hmm didnt think about that.. maybe another location on the soccer chair would be better then!

Air tags are only for iPhones. Samsung Smart tags are for Samsung. They do make them for Andriod.

Was going to do this on my mom's chair. Too expensive to replace.

I've been using Airtags on my keys and in wallet for years now. They're the best! I've thought whether i should put Airtag or a real tracker with sim card to my summer car (-73 Charger). Sadly i can't drive it anymore but my brothers and dad sure enoys it.

battery life is the only concern with cell-based GPS trackers.. the one in my van will drain the vehicle batteries within about a week.. BUT ive got it setup to start the engine automatically when voltage gets low to recharge :^)
@Syntappi3 ай бұрын
@@TotallyNormal- i have also a tracker in my van, built in the Webasto heater phone controller. At least it doesn’t drain the battery even in 2 weeks if i don’t use the van 🤔 Automatic startup must be nice, you’ll never drain your battery completely flat 😀

Hey Dan I was wondering how you were going to transport your chargers for the 2 chairs.
@lovedfriend20203 ай бұрын
they can use one charger since all chairs are 24 votes.
@FightingMSA3 ай бұрын
Tags for those would probably be extremely practical as well.

chargers go in my luggage :^) at tournaments tho we used big 20 amp chargers for the soccer chairs that can charge 2 chairs at a time

I have been thinking about getting those apple air tags but I wasn’t sure how close of an area would be covered as I would most like use them to find important things in my apartment as I have multiple disabilities and I can’t seem to ever find what I’m looking for. Will it tell you it’s going dead before it actually goes dead?
@TotallyNormal-2 ай бұрын
they alert you before battery goes dead.. they claim up to 1 year of battery life. if you have a fairly modern iphone with the U1 chip in it, they're good at directionally tracking things inside your house! if ya have an older phone, ya can still make them beep to locate stuff.
