You feel really bad to see a such a beautiful succulent drop it's leaves. How is the condition of the entire stem especially the root area? I would not recommend any fungicide to be honest ,it most probably an issue with the soil which is not draining quickly 😕. In case it's holding to much moisture then switch to a more gritty mix. Thank you for sharing 🙏

Yes. It’s so sad. It was so beautiful. I’m really not sure why this happened. I’ve lost handful of succulents the same way. It was in a gritty mix so I don’t think it’s soil issue. The rot on the stem continued and all the leaves dropped. I don’t think there is hope. I didn’t have a chance to pull out the roots yet but it’s definitely a goner. 😢

Do not worry your plants will do absolutely fine and everything will be alright. I have learnt this from a friend who has his own KZbin channel about the soil mix. Is to use 80 percent aquarium sand mixed with perlite or pumice And the remaining 20 filtered garden soil any colour which ever is available. The idea is to get very little organic stuff in the soil try this mix on one succulent and see the difference ..this mix works like a charm.

I put my madiba in a gritty mix and it died. The one with just a normal soil is still growing.

Hmm I wonder if mine was similar issue. I did learn that Madibas do like water so you need to give it water often if it’s a gritty mix but this one was already in a gritty mix so now I’m not so sure what the issue was. I’ve lost succulents this way before but only during summer. Maybe I shouldn’t have transferred it into a mini pot. Wondering if it was too tight and it lacked circulation. 🙁
