Hi Katy! Can't wait for the return of the podcast! I think adding more art work behind the couch would make the area look a bit too cluttered, but what if you angled the lamp to hang over that corner of the couch? That would naturally fill in that area of the wall and make the couch corner super cozy!

I LOVE the podcast intro music!!! Not like it matters much, but I have a master's of music degree and I've heard many, many scores over the years. This music was perfect for evoking feelings of intrigue and anticipation, but not too heavy on the anticipation such that it makes the listener feel uneasy. I think you've chosen the best music for your history podcast, and is going to make the listener that much more excited to hear each episode :) Congratulations, Katy!!! Yeah I think you need a difrent lamp in that space. It doesn’t flow IMO. The curve throws off that space and doesn’t flow well. So try a new lamp or remove it. It will look easier on the eyes if it was gone or you put a small lamp on that shelf there.

And as someone who just finished her first season of a podcast I just had to get out into the world for *me* and no one else, I can relate to your ramblings in the intro. And omg I need that recorder! I used my phone for interviews bc I was procrastinating on this project for yearsss. Everyone has already said this but I fully agree that all you need to do is that space is rotate the lamp so that the curve is angled towards the couch with the lamp shade filling that wall space. Definitely don’t need to add anything else. Just need to rotate the lamp

Hmm I wish she would do a history podcast about real stuff. Maybe the underground Jew tunnels in Brooklyn and how they date back, what really happened on 9/11 in NYC, Rikers Island mysteries, evolution of Times Square, a podcast about New York stuff would be cool.

The intro/music definitely draws you in. What got you so passionate about history? You’ve always been a natural storyteller/narrator but it’s just so interesting in general to get older and slowly begin to see the stuff you’re actually into more clearly. They’re things that have always been a part of us but maybe not necessarily something we were ready to share or do something with.

I usually don't add my noodles until the very end but if I'm going to have leftovers the noodles will sometimes just soak up all of the broth. So, what I've been doing is making a side bowl and then just add the noodles to my bowl. Also I noticed using wheat noodles really absorbs the soup in a better (tastier) way than like an egg noodle
