Thank you Simon for this Video!!! It is such a wonderfull place. I love old towns (I also live in one) and I looooove the Seaside. I can't can`t can't believe I've never heard of Whitby before 😳 I live in Germany and have travelled several places in England - most of them in Sommerset plus London, but Whitby never popped up. So, I`m even more grateful that you showed me/us this beauty (yes, including the steps 🤪). 🙏

Thankyou so much for bringing us along on your trip to Whitby, I love it have never been and would not be able to climb all the steps because of my bad legs but the place is so atmospheric. I agree the back alleyways do look so much like Glastonbury. Really enjoyed it ❤😊

You can park at the top as well as the bottom. I’d suggest the top by the Abbey for the stunning views!

The Magpie is a wonderful cafe, well worth a visit. We went about 3/4pm and there was no queue. I love all the shops in Whitby.

The goth walk weekend in Whitby is a really good day out. I love this town. My over active imagination is always fearful of the vampires that might jump out in the night 🤣
