My family loves Brie cheese. We would roast a whole garlic head and wrap Philo dough around the Brie then bake it with olive oil brushed over it to make it a little crispy and toast baguette and enjoy.

I have a fondue thing like that and I add a little coconut oil (just a little) then when it melts it stays a little more melty instead of hardening and you can blow the candle out but still dip does that make sence (then nothing burns)

Those apple cider donuts with really chilled milk are divine! A good thing with chocolate fondue is cubes of sponge cake or pound cake. Brie wrapped in phyllo dough and baked until golden is so good. I saw so many things at the Scottsdale Market that I wanted to know the price on. We’re going to be coming through Phoenix next week, so I’m going to try to persuade my husband to stop by.

❤️ Fondue! I love making cheese fondue with Gruyere, Gouda and fontina (these are also the blend of cheeses I use for my homemade Mac & Cheese) add some garlic, a little Dijon mustard and some dry white wine, salt & pepper. You also can substitute the wine for beer. I find the beer goes better with sharp cheeses like cheddar. You always need to add a little liquid to your fondue whether it’s cheese or chocolate. For chocolate add a little cream or whole milk. You also should add some vanilla, and some salt. Just like chocolate chip cookies, you need the salt. It actually brings out the chocolate better. I also will sometimes add cinnamon to my chocolate. I definitely prefer dark chocolate for my fondue. Milk is too sweet and you get sick of it after one bite. Things to use for dipping in Cheese : Crusty bread(sourdough, French), apples, Cherry tomatoes (so good), Roasted cubed potatoes, Broccoli & Cauliflower(you can do them raw if you like raw or use lightly steamed or roasted (yummy), button mushrooms, Cooked sausage. pretzels Things for Chocolate fondue: Strawberries, Bananas, Marshmallows, Cubed pound cake/angel food cake, Small butter cookies or shortbread, Graham crackers, waffle crackers (traders has these like waffle crackers and they are so good dipped in chocolate, you can also use the pretzels in the chocolate too, such a good combo with the sweet and salty. Dried fruit like apricots are good dipped in chocolate as well. TIPS! After you grade your cheese(works better graded than in cubes)always toss in cornstarch. This helps the cheese from clumping so you have smooth fondue. HOPE THIS HELPS😊

Some things to try in addition to the fruit are cubes of pound cake , cookies, marshmallows etc . For a more authentic fondue consistency, you could try adding milk or cream to the chocolate as well as some good quality vanilla extract . 1/2 dark & milk chocolate or all dark make a great fondue.

I wash my apples and those types of fruits with soap too. With grapes, potatoes and things with skins that can absorb what you put on them, I use a vinegar/water bath to sterilize them.

You have to get marshmallows and coat them in crushed graham crackers (wet the marshmallow to make the crumbs stick) to dip in your chocolate fondue so good (you can also do cheesecake/ angel food cake pieces yum) and yes dark chocolate is best! But you have to add a bit milk and heavy cream! lol if you do cheese fondue do the alpine one it’s the best! And you can dip any breads/baguette or pretzel bites and apples! (So good) and broccoli/carrots … I love fondue 😬

Hey Brandy, not sure if you subscribe to Young Living, essential oils. Their Theives all purpose cleaner is wonderful for doing a veggie/fruit wash. Also, ACV works well to. Just fill a tub or large bowl, add a capful of either with water to fill bowl and wash your produce. 😁 Also, our food source, farming isn’t like it was 25-30 years ago. So much more pollution, pesticides now!!!
