Hi Michel! This is not medical advice but as a nurse and fellow autoimmune warrior, I really cannot stress enough how important it is to eat enough. Our bodies are mineral depleted because it takes a lot more vitamins/minerals to support a body that is suffering. If I were you, I’d look into your protein intake as well. Women in their fertile years NEEEEEED more protein and I’d bet nearly everyone eats too little protein. All the best to you on your health journey! ❤️

This!! Sad but true- we cannot just supplement to replace a poor diet.

Hey Michel. I would check with your doc on supplements. Mine told me to be careful about magnesium because Im on hydroxychloroquine as well. It can lower the levels of medication in your blood. Not a dr or nurse, but make sure to check with your doctor when taking supplements just in case it affects your lupus meds

Yes I think speak with a functional medicine doctor to find out what supplements you actually really need to take else it can be a waste of money

I wasn’t married, but was with a guy for 10 years and a few months after the breakup my friends and I celebrated with a Breakup Brunch at Disney and we met a cast member who told us about how she celebrates her ex-wedding anniversary and calls it her reversary! I love that name 😂 so on my first reversary I took myself out for a steak dinner 🙌🏻 I hope you continue to show yourself love all your life!

I want to talk about Max. He's funny, cute, loyal, lovable, smart. He looked so adorable when he "threw" the sock at the camera. I think he was trying to tell you that it was time to put that thing away and take him on his walk. I'm so happy you have him. He's so freaking adorable.

OMG, Michel, I had to stop your video at the 6:55 minute mark when you said, "Did a coconut fall on my car?". I almost spit out my hot tea it made me laugh so hard (and that hurt because I've been sick with a bronchial infection for over a week)! Your comedic timing was perfect, even though your conversation was a serious one . . . ME days are needed regularly! P.S., I'm old enough to be your gramma, still learning about myself and loving the journey I'm on. ☺

Have you heard of cycle syncing? It's when you sync your monthly cycle with your life. So your workouts change during your cycle (you'd do things like yoga and stretching during your period and things like HIIT when you're ovulating), your caloric intake changes, the amount of sleep needed changes. Literally everything over the course of your monthly cycle changes. If you're on a healthy girl hit right now, I'd highly suggest it. It's super fascinating to learn about it and how it impacts your over-all health.

That’s great that you are treating yourself! Just a suggestion, girl unless you’re worried about warranties, don’t go to a dealer. They usually are much more expensive. Although I get that you may not know any mechanics there, they are usually much more affordable, as long as they can get the parts you need, but that was just a window fix it seemed. Just something I have discovered. It was going to be $900 to get something fixed on my car at a dealer, but it was $300 at a mechanics.

For the water filter for your shower, I want to get an anespa. It ionizes your water and it's like having a hot spring at home when you shower 🚿 I am biased because I'm an independent distributor for the company but have looked into quite a few options and none compares in my opinion

Is it an American thing to call ‘watching surfers’ “watching surf?” Where I come from, the surf is the waves/water itself. Like watching the surf is to watch the waves, not the people surfing. It feels like Michel may be using the term wrong, unless it’s just a country difference. This is not meant as hate or to be backhanded! but I’d want someone to correct me if I kept using a phrase wrong ❤

Hi Michel! This is not medical advise either but as I walkthrough my own autoimmune condition and I’m here in Texas wanted to share some things I’ve learned and learning. Look into a book called adrenal fatigue. Look up functional wellness doctor Doctor Gabria in WIMBERLEY, Texas she focuses on women’s health, hormones balance, gut health and autoimmune issues. Also recommend the book The Body Keeps The Score for anyone that experienced any type of Trauma. Oh and one more trauma therapist in Austin Therapy by Aime it’s virtual appointments only, but life changing. So happy you are celebrating yourself. So proud of you.

I used to have a chiropractor that did muscle testing every month in addition to test foods she tested hormones, viruses, fungus etc and the she gave supplements to help you through either detoxing, adrenal support, diet for fungus if you had one and had been eating too much sugars and then for viruses it was support of supplements that helped clear the viruses etc. I felt so much better and yes I did what you describe for therapy. I think mine was EMDR but I only did an hour every week which was not enough time at once and I couldn’t afford to continue to go weekly plus I couldn’t miss that much work. She only got to age 6 and nothing from my childhood still bothers me. What I needed her to focus on was more recent things and it was going to take months, porkbably years and thousands of dollars and I couldn’t commit to that so I had to stop. She was also a Christian but she could have done other things but she refused and made my sessions basically pointless. It was so frustrating.

I am 50, as my grand son say 50 1/2 years young, and I just started allowing myself to be creative with my health, exercise, crafting, etc… i so have to try this muscle therapy. I have been very open minded when it comes to all things Robin. Even with my spiritual views. I like to call myself a Christian Buddhist. I didn’t realize there was such a thing, however, there is. Hi Michel, you should try somatic therapy. It’s similar to what you did, except shorter for an hour where you let your body dictate what comes up. You close your eyes and see where there is tension and let that body part intensify and then next thing you know things come up that you didn’t realize you were holding onto. And then you let go of whatever has been in that area. It seems weird, but is transformative in how you start processing things.

Hello Michel, I have done this muscle test (kinesiology) therapy 2 times. I am as skeptical as you on the other hand I believe that our body has memory and can hold a lot in itself. Just imagine how we act after f.e. we cut our finger and it's not healed yet, there's always a bit of fear to cut, to use a knife again and we protect this finger while doing so (not just because of the pain) and it takes time till we get back to "normal" functioning. That makes me believe that.

I’m not a medical professional, and you are brave to share your life, but please eat according to your heart. One thing that was damaging to me-still recovering-was being told how much and or little to eat . Only you know what size and lifestyle truly feel good to your mind, body, and soul/spirit. Also, comments on what you eat should be more considered. That is a zone “I” do not touch, no matter what. And Michel, you look great.
