OMG I finally found a Japanese vlog that has English subtitle. I love the fact that you show the each grocery item with the price. Where I live is like 3-4 times higher, but at least I now know what locals buy in Japan. Thank you!

I always love your vlogs. Even though they had the recent treat of a day at the beach, I bet S and K are getting so excited about your upcoming vacation. I am excited for them! 😀 always fun, too, to see what's available at your local produce market. Are the chilis you cooked similar to shishito? We can get shishito peppers here and I enjoy them a lot. Next summer I want to try growing them. Another thing I have noticed is that each fruit is already priced. I think that's great. Here, most fruit is sold by the pound, so unless you weigh it, you don't really know how much it's going to cost until you are checking out. I have been unpleasantly surprised a few times by how expensive something turned out to be because I didn't realize how much it weighed. 😀 The tuna dinner looked delicious and it is fun to cook something unusual. Hope you have a great weekend!

Oh thee tuna gill is what we call the Tuna Collar over here! It's very good marinated in a soy sauce, sake or mirin or lemon soda, a citrus like calamansi or lemon, and a lot of garlic. We have it in the philippines grilled over charcoal or you can bake it with butter.

I love the green colour you had on your nails!!! We totally understand. I have a daughter home for teh holidays as well and it is so busy. Add in any other appointments and you hardly have time to do anything else. Still I hope it brings a smile to you when I say I always enjoy watching a new video. It's a small bit of peace and quiet for me :) And you inspire me with cooking since I have no idea what to cook at the moment.

Terrific that you tried a 'secondary' cut of tuna and made a delicious meal of it! We are all WAY too fussy and that is so disrespectful and wasteful to the fish or animal that, well, made the ultimate sacrifice for us to survive. I bought some pork 'soft bones' recently - it's the bottom cartilage offcuts from the expensive pork ribs. Really cheap, I'd never cooked it before, braised it with soy sauce, ginger etc, it was very tasty and gave me confidence to buy them again and cook them a different way. Love your videos! They're my little chill out session with a cup of tea! Cheers!!

Every time you use that coffee mug, I think it says “Houston” which is where I am from. I always get excited but then realize I misread it. 😆
