I never figured out how exact the time needed to be when taking birth control so I used to set an alarm and try to take it at an exact time every day but for the past few years I just make sure I take it before bed! 😭 Maybe that’s why I’ve been having more breakouts lately. 😐 Thanks for mentioning about this! I probably need to start setting an alarm again!

Re: tretinoin and peeling, you gotta just accept that its part of the process. You should increase to twice a week for 2 weeks, then every other day for 2 weeks, then every night. Idk about the antibiotic in your formula though, you should talk to your derm

You could try the sandwich technique of putting a light moisturizer on before your tret. That helped my skin get used to the tret (0.025% for me) until it was retinized, at which point I put it on without the buffer moisturizer - an open sandwich technique I guess😜 You could also use chemical exfoliants like kojic acid on days you're not using tret to take it easier on your skin. Kojic acid soap alone can make my skin peel. Btw you might want to be careful with that hydrocortisone in your cream. Hydrocortisone is a steroid and with continuous use (I know you're only using it 1x a week right now) it can cause skin thinning, which can lead to hyperpigmentation and acne. One study I saw showed statistically significant skin thinning with daily use for just 1 week. The Mario Badescu brand had to settle a class-action lawsuit for putting (unlabeled) hydrocortisone in one of their face creams. People who used it daily for a long time had terrible steroid withdrawal symptoms and sued. I know about this because I have eczema so I'm familiar with the drawbacks of steroid creams. You're fine just...I personally wouldn't step it up to use that compound daily. I'm sure a dermatologist will give you good advice. I liked the office tour!
