WOW, it looks great! I am catching up on missed videos and had seen the completed desk. I wondered where you found a desk that fit so perfectly in that corner. Then I saw this video, I should have known, hahaha. I really like it when you explain exactly what you are thinking while you are doing a project. You truly are inspiring. It's the attention to detail like the lip on the back of the desk and trims you added to the front that really makes your projects come out so nice. Thanks for sharing. 💕😊Francine

I love that sewing nook you created 💚 I did sth similar for my crafting/nailart/paperwork/computer desk area. Small flat but I got it to work out for me and my hobbies. But as you can relate, it's always a work in progress as you grow into your hobbies. My crafting room has no door to the hallway so that's my next project. Lots of love from Germany, salut :)

Hey just go get yourself a little pickup truck! I have an old Ranger with a 7’ bed that is the treasure of my life. In fact at the moment. that’s all I’m driving. Think of all the inventory you could scavenge. Your desk is the perfect final piece to make the sewing room a truly functional space, plus it looks good. You are a total juggernaut of productivity! That is going to be a nice sewing desk. I'm like you in the respect I can't stand getting up and down hunting for things I need. Are you finishing the top, sorry if I didn't hear. If not at least put a coat of poly on top to prevent stains. I ruined my craft table by yeas of use and it not being sealed. if you don't come back on before Thursday, Happy Thanksgiving!

So happy for you - you did a great job on that. What about using something like a large piece of caning on the back of the desk that would match the caning on the back of your chair? That would finish it on the back and still give you the ventilation that you want. You can purchase sheets of caning and paint it white...?? Just a thought. You have a gift of seeing potential in things that most people wouldn't.

I think you would enjoy and get much use from truck. I bought my first truck, a little GMC S-15, in 1982 after using my 1st new car, a tiny Plymouth Horizon to haul hay (with the back set folded down I could haul 5 bales), bags of grain and muck tubs of water for the horses out to far pastures. With that little truck I could haul 22 bales of hay at a time.and helped my sister move 5 times in 2 years. It was my only vehicle for 2 years until I bought a used Datsun to drive to and from work. That little truck lasted 22 years, the Datsun only lasted a few years before being replaced. I finally bought a full sized pickup (a Chevrolet Silverado with crew cab) and donated my old truck to the Kidney Foundation. I still have my Silverado and still love it, it is still in great condition at 18 years old. It has literally hauled tons of hay and grain and I used it for most of the move to the farm I bought 10 years go. The seats are much more comfortable and it rides much smoother than my Subaru Forester.

You did a fantastic job Sophia! The lighting seems adequate and I love how you envisioned the project and saw it through. The ledge on the back is a nice touch. I’m going to suggest ( you can toss the idea if it won’t work for this application) instead of a hole where you were indicating, how about an oblong slot toward the back edge ... OR! a hole with a slot cut in with your saw ... like a skeleton key hole, for the cords. You’ll come up with something. As always...the smile on your face, makes this project sooo worthwhile. I hope you get lots of time to sew over winter.

Awesome job on your new sewing table!!! Years ago I transformed one of my husband's very old stationary chiropractic adjusting tables into a sewing table. I actually covered it with an old quilted bedspread for padding and then covered that with some pretty fabric. I have my sewing machine on it and can also use my iron right on it to press as I sew. It works very well. Enjoy your happy place!

I can't wait to see it painted and with your sewing machine on top and all your suppies in the drawer. Also, I think the lighting in the back is fine as you need it to see better when cutting and piecing together quilts. I wouldn't change either the back or lights above the sewing table.
