VLOG: *emotionally* leaving Germany and traveling home to the US :(

today's vlog is bittersweet one.. my visa is almost expired and my internship is allowing me to complete the rest of my internship remotely, so I decided to go ahead and fly home :( I don’t think I have to disclaim this but of course I am quarantining right now and social distancing from my parents and I am in no way promoting traveling right now - I had to go home since my visa will expire soon so I took the best precautions I could. 💛 it was sad to leave germany but I will be back soon (given that restrictions are lifted)! and I am super happy to be back with my family and I have a VERY exciting summer series coming up as I prepare for grad school this fall! love u guys!!

Just a heads up, you should be molding the top part of your mask around your nose (where the wire type thing is) so that it doesn’t slip down. Or if it’s just too big for you, you can double loop the straps around your ears. Glad you’re safe!

Me and my fiancé started our relationship long distance for two and a half years and then I moved to Germany. Lived there for six years and now we’ve been in Portugal for almost two. Meant to get married this year buuuuut the world had other plans. Good byes are hard but you will be okay. ❤️

I love your positive attitude on airplane food :D I usually get so mad when I am unable to or eat all the food I bring on trips and have to buy meals on an airplane, but I am going to remember to be open minded the next time I am hungry and able to fly.

I totally understand how that morning must have been for you, to say goodbye. Long distance relationships are hard. I was so shocked when you said you where going to get hand sanitizer, like here in England they are sold out EVERYWHERE... They are charging a lot higher when you can find them (which is incredibly rare) so it's like £12 for that tiny bottle you bought :(
