Nice Vlog! Love to see the majestic mountain view and too bad it’s an anti climax at the top of the hill. Looking forward for a cycling vacay in the future 😁

I just done the same route in Nov 2022, The weather at the summit pretty much changes in the afternoon, so best bet is to get out just before dawn and reach the summit before Noon time and You be rewarded with beauitful view. the weather in YMS also varies alot, one moment it dry n sunny, the next its raining..

Hey Jack! Nice! Really happy for you! Yea! I heard that the weather at the top can be quite unpredictable at all times. Guess it's just my luck 😅 I read that someone even got hit by hails 😮 So, unlucky but not that unlucky!

@@zwiftlegs yeah, so always prepare for unforeseen weather, The America village up in YMS is a must to check out, if u get a chance. try going up FGZ and down jinshan to take the coastal road, the view is awesome too.

Thanks, @@Justnoby ! Are you a local? Wish I have gotten this piece of info about YMS earlier haha! I actually made the YMS climb 3 days later but I didn't know about the America Village You must be talking about the TP3P! I've read about it when I was doing my research. Wanted to do it but I was worried about the cold front. I also have Qianhu, Maokong, JGS routed out on Strava! So much to do, so little time!!! (and the weather not playing nice) Hopefully, I can make another trip in the near future and share more about this cycling paradise to the world.

@@zwiftlegs haha no.. same place as where u are from. I travel to tw for work frequently so I bring my bike along, the america village is just around the chinese culture university..

Hi great video, what was the traffic like on the way up?
@zwiftlegs Жыл бұрын
Hey Paul! Thank you 😊 It was relatively quiet especially after the halfway point since Cingjing farm is a popular holiday destination. After that, it was mostly just me and the mountains.

Nice vlogs… curious to know what is your gearing combination for these rides, and would you change it at all if you were to do it again?
@zwiftlegs Жыл бұрын
Hey my friend! I'm on 50/34 11/30 combi. I'm too lazy to change when I'm just exploring 😅 I might expand the range a bit if I were to participate in this year's Taiwan KOM. Just so I can spin at a higher cadence.. which might be beneficial towards the end where it's steeper and fatigue builds. Hope that answers your question 😅😊
