I look forward to seeing more of your videos. I have adopted a GPS based SOLO system 2 years ago and the amount of benefit has been tremendous. As recently as a couple weeks ago, I moved the SOLO to another car in a very competitive class and was able to take near 3 seconds off lap time leading into last day. The interesting part is the car is an older car in the class (early 1.6L Miata) and was essentially a very low dollar purchase. Going into the event, I expected perhaps a mid-pack result at best with this older chassis/ engine combination. Seeing the improvement in time based on data review and on track application was beneficial as the front-end of the mid-pack became more likely. But what was more important from the GPS data was the review of corner speeds and comparison of similar laps which showed a theoretical lap that was in the Top-4 of the class. The data showed where that time can be found on track and is inspirational to the fact that this older chassis/ motor combination can run at the front. Definitely look forward to putting that to the test in 2021.

Hi Jaxon. Great comments, thank you so much for your reply. I know how competitive Miata series can be (and are) so finding time is massively important. Loved the comments about mid-corner speed and segmenting the track. I have found the track report feature to be a great way of corner apex speed analysis and split times report (with a custom segmented track) so good for theoretical best lap. Good luck in 2021 and thanks for the feedback.

James, I've had the pleasure of partaking of your AiM webinars with Roger and always enjoy your insights. Thanks for these vLogs! BTW, back when I lived in Broad Hinton and took my lowly street 328i to Castle Combe, there were no solar panels! I swear it rained every day of the 1 year I lived there. FWIW, I use an EVO4/G-Dash, but am considering upgrading.

Hi Jerry. Thank you so much for your comments. If your 328i was an E36 then I am jealous. I think the E36 chassis was (and is) one of the best for racing. Such a great car. I use an EVO4S/GS-Dash and love my setup right now as well as carrying an AiM Solo 2 everywhere I go as I can't tell you the number of times I've had time to use it.

I am a new owner of an AIM SOLO 2. I use it on my motorcycle at the track to check my lap times only. I am at a point where I want to take a "more detailed" look at where I can improve on the track. I understand that Race Studio software is PC based and unfortunately I own a Mac. Please explain the simplest/easiest way for me to use the data my AIM SOLO 2 is giving me. I am very much a "tech dummy" trying to learn and understand complicated new tech is very overwhelming and discouraging. So far the AIM SOLO 2 performance has been great. It's easy to use and fairly intuitive as far as the control buttons. I very much appreciate any help and or recommendations you can offer. Thanks and keep yourself safe! 😃👍❤🏍 Randy

HI Claudio. I agree with you about motorcycle riders that video content is harder to find. I try and focus on what I know (I'm a closed wheel/open wheel car racer) and would be ill equipped to help. That said, AiM Sports have a few webinars on motorcycle you can find here; kzbin.info/www/bejne/hoOYnp1rl6iMfbM Hope this helps!
