Where did you connect the lap timer charger to in the bike?

It is plugged into the dlc on the bike with a premade cable from AiM. - Van

Great setup. Just got my aim solo 2 and wondering about the mounting bracket for the lap timer. I see in the video its fastened to the left fork tube, is the bracket custom made or do you offer it on your site?

If you want the data overlay you need to use the DL version of the timer. - Van

Van, can you detail the process of mounting the camera through the fairing.

That was a total one off custom mount I did on the GSXR. The camera is sitting a top of the headlight assy and I uses some 2 sided tape with a little safety wire to keep in in place. - Van

@@sportbiketrackgear I used a 3D printer to make a plastic piece that puts the lap timer at an angle which I could mount right at the top my tank cover. Worked great! Plug and play and very secure without crowding anything up front on my BMW S1000RR. Unfortunately, the mounting solutions for this are pretty limited for motorcycles so you have to get creative. Also, I found that while I'm focused on riding I don't really look at the lap timer very much at all, if ever. As soon as you pull into your paddock, however, all the lap times for your session are on the screen for display. a lot on the triple clamps, all you need next is your cup holder, cruise control, and phone mount. Do like the option of using the camera, without that large display, to bad you are not able to mount it else where, tail section, faring underside-use it for data analysis but then they would not be able to stare at it, as you rode

Once I have installed the race bodywork on the GSXR I will relocate the camera box. The lap timer will stay where I can see it on the track. I think it will get bolted to the fairing stay once I have removed the OEM key cylinder so I have the room. - Van

Van, I noticed with your setup the DL is charging with power up. Is this because of the smarty cam or will your DL charge even without the cam? Thanks love the vids!

I ran this setup on 6.30.2018 and 7.1.2018 at Grattan Raceway on the STG GSXR. Being able to watch the video with all the data from the lap timer shown on the screen is pretty eye opening. What I learned real quick is there is a difference between what you are doing and what you think you are doing. Can't wait to get back out there end of this month to work on a couple of things. - Van
