The crying never stops. It starts when you drop them off at kindergarten, when you drop them off at college and when they decide to move to another state to start their own life. I really haven’t stopped crying. It’s so hard letting go. TJ will do well because he’s been raised with love and support from his family. Congratulations TJ! Much success in your college journey!❤🎉🤗

It's such a bittersweet step. We do our best to instill confidence and create goal-oriented children, and our success in doing that breaks our heart in a way. That first year of my son in college was one of the most difficult years of my life. It's definitely a new season of life, but I promise there are many more sweet days ahead (think grandbabies!!). ❤

My heart when he put Woody and the rest of his figures on that shelf AND the photo taken of him, seemingly 45 seconds ago, in the bath AND those goodbye hugs AND your face on the journey home.😢😢😢 We all know he's gonna be ok, course we do but it doesn't stop you all missing his presence, his essence. Coming from a mom who thought her kids would forever stay at home (in a good way!), it is such a hard transition any time 1 flies from the nest. I remember when my late wife, Constance and I dropped off our Justin, our only child at Duke University, 9 years ago! Justin soared and has now completed Law School and is a practicing attorney! We both cried, little did we know, Constance would be diagnosed and succumb to Breast Cancer a year later! She was an Attorney and would be so proud of Justin’s accomplishments! As for your TJ, he has real support & family values, as you said Mrs. Cades, TJ will soar and accomplish great things! I know this feeling all to well. Our oldest son is in his Sophomore year of College and we dropped our twins sons off to College earlier this month. We are empty nesters and I don't know how I feel about it. We too did everything together. It's a bittersweet moment because you're happy to see them thriving but sad they won't need you in that way anymore, if that makes sense.
