Hi Sne. Your entire house including your kitchen is absolutely beautiful! Congratulations again. I also don’t care much for those chairs. But maybe you can keep them for now & change them when you get a new island. I love your idea of a new kitchen island cos I think the size of your current island contributes in making your kitchen look smaller. Depending on the overall space i would get a slightly bigger island and switch the stove from the wall & put it on a new island like in your previous house. Also on that empty wall next to the pantry door, I would put floating shelves nje for your Le creuset stuff & maybe a small open counter underneath it to use as your charging corner & put your cooking books.

My heart felt a lot heavy as you shared the reason why you couldn't log for the past month, it was heavy specifically because I'm a student in PE and my home is at JHB, and we as students are so vulnerable, my friend went missing on March as well but nothing severely bad happened to him physically but al we know is that by the time he was found he had to be put in a psychiatric hospital cause he wasn't the same. I'm sorry for what happened to your family's child. We'll keep on praying for your family and that God surrounds you in such a moment. I'm sorry, and I think more awareness should be spread about the vulnerability of students on these provinces as we move away from home to study. I hope you heal from this. ❤

Hi Gugu, Congratulations on your new home. i love your stunning kitchen , so many options and ideas to make it your own. I have a suggestion when you remodel the kitchen to expand the counter space. Placing a pocket door that leads in to your pantry/laundry room. Being that you won’t have to slide that door back and forth on that wall , it would free up that space at the left by the island to add upper and lower cabinets giving you more counter space as well. So sorry to hear about your nephew, sending my deepest condolences to your family.
