A Model Recommends I honestly don't know... but gosh girl you wore them well!!! When I have been given paper knickers for a wax they were a white G-string... the most unflattering thing you could imagine!!! I decided commando was more dignified (which was given as an option by the therapist...)

I’m a flight attendant so I feel your pain of having noisy neighbors in a hotel. If I can anticipate it I try to switch rooms but at 2AM 😡 so sorry they couldn’t provide you with ear plugs. Sometimes I’ll play a white noise app to drown out the hallway/neighbor noise. Thank you for taking us with you Ruth! You are so interesting and uplifting

What a great video! I left my boys when they were a bit older than your two to travel on a 10 day orchestra tour. My husband took time off from work... but I ended up crying several times on the bus after several concerts. But, I have great memories, and it made me appreciate being at home with my family. One thing about you, Ruth, is you can tell a lot about a person by the friends they have. Your friends are amazing women, and it's clear you all care very much for one another.

I don't like being away from home either. It feels me with dread. My daughter is 3. I've only been away a couple of times and that is only because they've been special occasions. It's refreshing to see your vid and that you feel the same cos I definitely feel a bit of an outsider when I tell people I like being at home! ❤️

What a joy to watch Ruth and so happy you’ve had your suppositions about life and work reaffirmed. I remember the first time I was away from my oldest for a week, super excited to go but by the time we arrived home and pulled up in front of the house I had a pain in my heart and couldn’t breathe I missed her so. Anyway, that was about a thousand years ago ☺️. You carry on writing and talking to us, making us laugh and feel and we’ll keep watching. Oh, I was quite alarmed and confused when you first spoke about the “ladybirds” because I remembered when you first moved into the house and had sparrows falling out of the chimney......picturing them all over your windowsill was Hitchcock frightening. Eventually realized you were talking about “ladybugs”. 🤦‍♀️😘🇨🇦

I had my makeup done by a makeup artist from L'Oreal - he used that infallible stick that I like! And about twelve different other base things that I can't remember, but it was lengthy and complicated. Rest of the vlog I am wearing L'Oreal Pro Glow x

Really disappointed with the Sunday Riley company's dishonesty in their reviews and how they've reacted to people finding out they put fake reviews on their products. When my son was young, I longed for me time, and when I got it, all I could think about was home. I, too, am lucky to work from home and travel occasionally, and it is the best of all worlds. Still challenging, but it certainly beats commuting anywhere and being away eight hours a day, five days a week.

I always take a little eye mask and a set of ear plugs, hotels often do not have good sound proofing or indeed black out curtains frankly I sometimes feel I would have more peace if I slept in the car park.

Totally enjoyed this post! You can see in your eyes the love you have for your family. On the ladybug problem, they do not like citrus so I would try peppermint and lemon ( also very good to keep spiders away) or wild orange, a few drops in water and spray away.

Absolutely love your glasses. My eyesight started to get worse (shortsighted) after almost 10 years I had a Lasic operation done and I am in panic because I hate glasses and I hate contacts but you make it look so nice that my panic calms down :)

Always disappointing when the hotel doesn't stock ear plugs. Your hilarious blog about hotel shampoos and "forgetting the bloody loofa" immediately came to mind. You'd think a business about providing a room for a night's sleep might actually be concerned about having a conducive environment for a good night's sleep... especially the luxury one's with luxury prices. Perhaps you'll want to practice your operatic vocalizing the next early morning after you're kept up all night. As it is always beneficial to start the day and warm up the ol' vocal cords! Ruth, I saw the “Lady Macbeth” dress however you were also wearing another dark flowered number top? Dress? Where is that from? I raced and bought the lady Macbeth ( praying they shipped to Australia 🇦🇺) but that dark flowered number is beautiful too!
