A huge Mercedes SUV fired off fast into my lane today. Blowing my horn and steering to the right saved me and my Kymco Agility 125. Sometimes I believe that all the car drivers here in Dallas have a big pool of $ for who ever can take me out first.

Can i just say. Its a good thing you are always alert while riding and being a good motorist. Judging from the way other people drive,if you were any more relaxed(idk whats the opposite of the word alert),you would have been in so many accidents.

Are you using stock gearing on your 500x? I have a 2023 500x but I think at those speeds it’s very buzzy.

I had stock gearing on my CB500X until recently when I upgraded to a 16T front sprocket. I always noticed a resonance and buzz in the 60-63 mph range so that I wouldn't hover in that area too long. The new 16T sprocket moved the resonance above 65 mph and slightly lowered the intensity. However, the speedometer is off by -5 mph now. Fuel economy seems to be up 1-2 mpg, but it's not a significant change. I'm not sure if I'll revert to the 15T sprocket or not. 😉👍 --QM

That's a good question! I'm no expert, so maybe that's a good research item. In my opinion, both are equally bad. Texting while driving is so prevalent now that it's a more significant threat than DWI. However, the damages resulting from DWI can be more substantial (e.g., higher speeds, blackouts, wrong-way drivers, etc). 😉👍 --QM

Per the storm. Grew up in the Midwest. When the sky turned that color deep sea green you were in trouble. That Thursday evening I saw that green color in the sky, felt the storm go over and gone in 20 minutes. Very familiar. 5 Days without wall lightning later. back to watching Quasi. Good training for the next Hurricane for some of the new folks.

(13:39) wind shear, on the bolts holding the framing in place, has a lot to do with the structure's integrity, most bolts are 1/2 X 5" tall giving a 3500LB tinsel strength. or can be the material that supports the structure, most are 1/4 to 3/8" steel, anything above 40 ft ground winds can reach 170 mph

"Squid" is a derogatory term for sport bikers who ride without any safety equipment (usually t-shirts, tennis shoes, etc), particularly when they are riding recklessly through traffic. When they hit the ground, their limbs flop around like a squid being rolled by the tide. It's an ugly visual, but very true. 😉👍 --QM
