This weekend, Aeron and I flew to Amsterdam in the Netherlands to go and see the UK/ international tour of SIX which is currently visiting the DeLaMar Theatre there!

I’m so glad that you got to see Ellie Jane Grant in SIX! Ellie taught me dance at my drama club for about 2 months, before joining SIX and she is such a kind and lovely person and I thankfully got to see her in SIX in Southampton and it was so nice to meet her again at stage door and I got to see her play Cleves and she was so good. Glad you got to see her in SIX! 👑

Fun fact, if you've watched the Waiting in the Wings video on Titanic, this theater is owned by the same Joop van den Ende who rescued that musical on Broadway. All the art and photographs in the foyers are curated by his wife Jeanine van den Ende.

Amsterdam near the train station is extremely touristy but it sort of calms down as you walk further out.

I love how you said 'less touristy' anywhere in Amsterdam. It remains gorgeous though! Next time absolutely visit anything in Theater Carré, a lot of international tours visit there too and the theatre alone is worth the visit, even if you're used to the beauty of West End theatres.

Dutch viewer here! I expected it to be in Carré which is a gorgeous Royal Theater that started of as a permanent circus building. I saw the International production of Pippin there and that was an amazing fit... The 2024 leg of Six will be in there and in the far North of the NL, Groningen!

Omg I was there for the late evening performance. Bummer I didn't get to see you but so fun that you came to the Netherlands for this! Glad you enjoyed! There are many more theatres in a same style as Delamar here! I'm from The Hague, and watch all your videos. My boyfriend and I actually went to the last Mary Poppins performance in the West End that you also went to see. Didn't spot you tho, as you were in the stalls and we were in the circle. You should definitely come to the Netherlands one more time, I have a feeling you'd love the Efteling theme park!

But didn't pippin and the book of mormon with UK casts come to the Netherlands before covid. And weren't we gonna get everybody's talking about jamie in 2020 with the UK cast. It's not that rare and I hope they keep doing it. The quality is so much higher in the UK compared to anything musical theatre in the Netherlands. But I did think that les mis that is showing right now was pretty good

Me and my sister went to six at the delamar theater this saturday. We were expecting a good show, but it was so much more than that, it was amazing! 10 minutes after leaving the theater we booked tickets for next year, which just so happens to be in our home town, Groningen!

If you keep going like that you might have to change the name of the channel to Mickey Jo Theatre around the World. I wonder if there is a Spanish production of SIX. Katherine (Wife #1) was Spanish and I wonder if that would change the way she gets portrayed in the show- like, you know, she's one of us, she needs to show some Spanish things of some sort. By the way, as a curiosity, I literally grew up barely 40km from where she was born.

So I went to the Amsterdam closing night. At the end at stage door they were giving out the stickers that were on the table, so now I have a HUGE sticker of Erin 😍 loved that they gave them away to fans instead of throwing them away!!

Oooo love a cliffhanger! That venue was beautiful! Im excited to catch Six in Toronto, it just opened this week. Seeing it the same day as In Dreams next month - I'd say check it out but it's not exactly close even if you're headed back to New York.

I'm going next week to the one in Rotterdam and i can't wait. The reason why the delamar theatre looks so modern is because it was redone a couple of years ago. Most theatres in the Netherlands have big foyers because most are newer. I believe almost all theatres in london are old and back then there might not have been a need for a big foyer. The theatre in my home town does afterparties allot after a musical. They build a small stage and then a dj on there.

Yay for another Six performance. I saw it at the Vaudeville in June with my daughter and when we returned we booked tickets to see the show in Rotterdam next week! Thanks for showing the merch. As we didn't buy a lot in London, we can now get 'the missing items 😃. What to do with limited time in Amsterdam? I am curious! Btw, the national monument at de Dam is the place where the royal family comes for Remembranceday (4 of May). Like the Cenotaph in London.

Middle of watching on the tv, but there is at least 2 dunkin doughnuts in Nottingham. Only recentish but i would say the number of shops is increasing. Lovely seeing you both walk through amsterdam hope u had a fab time

I saw Six in Amsterdam last week and I loved it so so much! I've been living in Amsterdam for 2 years now and I never got to see such a big musical here so it was really exciting to have Six in the Netherlands. The energy in the audience was really fun!

I hope the venue will be decorated as such because as you said small London venues like the Vaudeville (where I saw it last summer) cannot have all that decor and stuff. And I bought the cheap tickets because of my friends, so I hope we'll have a good view like the cheap ones on London. Also I'm replying in English because my german aren't very good.

I Saw Six Three Times in Three Cities, Chicago, Washington D.C. and Philadelphia!!! Exciting that You Two are Coming to New York in (Maybe) Two Days. I Know This is Unrelated but Please Tell Me You Two are Planning to see J. Harrison Ghee's Return Performance of Some Like it Hot. Ghee had been Sidelined from the Show since August 30th due to Surgery so His/Their Understudy, DeMaruis R. Copes, Had Taken over the Show for Them. I Believe their Return Performance is October 4th. It'd Be Amazing if you two were there to witness it. I Said it on the Announcement of You Two Retuning to NYC and I Don't Mind Saying it Again (Speaking of Some Like It Hot, Where is that Review Video?).

can't believe you were around the corner from me. First off, love the way you say DeLaMar. Also, to anyone watching, that fries place is not the best fries place at all Got to say the Dutch Pancake House in London is similar to regular Dutch pancakes! I would expect it to be at Theatre Carré as I've seen many West End shows in there, but I believe this was the first one that took place in the De La Mar. I always love it so much when West End shows come to Amsterdam (although I go to London to watch shows often as well) And yes, highly rec anyone in the Netherlands to come watch SIX here or go to London to see it as it is worth it!

About the tulips it’s a tourist thing. I’m Dutch and I like tulips but that’s it. Tourist like them and in Amsterdam you can buy just about everything. By the time you come back and then leave again then you’ll be used to it
