I’ve had some questions asking which charity I decided to donate to. I usually don’t like to share my charitable contributions, since I feel like drawing attention to it cheapens it for me. But since several people have asked, I donated half of the ring sales profit to the Lupus Foundation of America since my lupus diagnosis was such a big part of my story this past year. What I kept from the ring sales only covered one night at the hotel, but I splurged and paid out of pocket for the rest of it simply because I wanted to!🖤🖤🖤 love y’all, thanks for spending this time with me.

I know this may sound strange but you have inspired me to sell my wedding and engagement rings! I have been divorced for over three years and I have thought about it so many times but every time I come up with a reason not to go for it. I do have kids with my ex so at first I thought my daughter would maybe want it but she is 18 and told me directly that she has zero interest in them and would rather I sold them and did something with the money that brought me joy. Watching your weekend away made me realize it is way past time and I am now actually excited by the possibilities the money could buy. Thank you!! Also-my divorce was finalized on my 40th birthday. The actual day! At first it made me so upset when I realized what was going to happen and then I decided it was the Universe giving me the best birthday gift of all-my freedom. When I was in my 20's I travelled through 2 states on my own, but have not been adventurous at all in these later years. You are inspiring and a wonderful reminder to get out and try new things. I know you’ve done your best to protect your ex because your an absolute CLASS ACT! I truly hope you’ll protect yourself & go extremely low or no contact with him. I'm so glad you got out & treated yourself to a nice hotel room 😁. I can only imagine how nice the massage was for you & I truly hope it helped loosen up any tension you've been going through. I have to tell you that I had to take a step back after watching this vlog cuz hearing that you got texts from your ex on your wedding anniversary. He partly did it to get his ego fed hoping to get a reaction from you & hoping you'd be all 'I miss you I miss us'. That way he can say to himself & to others 'ya she still wants me, she's still into me, she wants me'. This is classic narcissist behavior & emotional manipulation techniques!! I know cuz I've experienced that behavior from guys in the past. I've learned to spot the signs of emotional manipulation, abusers & narcissists. Please please please don't let him manipulate you or destroy the work you've put into getting healthy mind body & soul. You are a beautiful woman inside & out!!
