Thanks for sharing! So many amazing plants. I would be super overwhelmed, and probably would have bought too many plants lol! Glad you had fun meeting other creators, and got to get lots of socializing in :). Never been to Miami, but the food looked good too hehe. Hope the plants made it back to Canada ok!

Thank you so much! It was really fun and it was really exhausting but I couldn't be more happy to have been able to attend. Flight back was longer but smooth.

Hi 👋 How can you bring all those baby plants home to the airport in Canada ? Can you do vlogs on bringing in aroids from the show into Canada ? What needed, what border security requirements and they ask you? And so on...
@planthappensАй бұрын
All you need to do it to claim you have plants with you when you fill out the customs form, and have the receipts ready. We're allowed to bring up to 50 personal houseplants back to Canada as long as they're not banned genus. Most houseplants ppl typically own are not banned but I would be more cautious with succulents, cacti, and orchids. If you purchased more than the allowed monetary value then you might need to pay duties.

Hi Jing, thank you for video. Could you share a bit more on how to bring plants from the states to Canada?
@planthappens2 ай бұрын
Canadians are allowed to bring back up to 50 personal plants as long ass they're grown indoors and not on the banned plant list. You will just declare at the customs that you have plants with you and have all the receipts ready in case they want to inspect.
@Steve-f7e2 ай бұрын
@@planthappens thats amazing, so you need is the receipt? You dont need an import permit or anything right?
@Steve-f7e2 ай бұрын
All you need*
@planthappens2 ай бұрын
@@Steve-f7e that's correct, you don't need an import permit if you are accompanying the plants (via land or air crossing) I believe some plants like succulents and orchid may cause issue but anthurium, Philodendron, and hoya have not been problems for me. It also depends on the CBSA officer because some of them may be more picky. Please note you may have to pay duties if you are bringing more than your duty exempt amount.

I have been lusting over a huperzia like that for years. I can’t ever find anything other than a cutting tho and I heard they’re hard to root. Have you tried?
@planthappens2 ай бұрын
I haven't tried making any cuttings of them, but I have separated them at the base before. I think you'd need some roots to begin with when you propagate them.

Thank you for watching! I was not able to remember all the plants I saw at the show but I tried labelling what I can. Next time I will take more notes 👌
