Thank you so much for your videos! I am going to be a first year teacher and I am frightened to pieces so I am watching these videos for guidance and ideas on how to plan, govern my classroom and just teach these kiddos!! So thanks a bunch

This was so nice to watch. Love just playing your vlogs as "background" like you said, but I definitely get ideas each time too. Also, thank you for the encouragement at the end- really needed it! 💕

I would do a book club!! I love your channel! I might be teaching 1st grade next year (or 5th) after being a 6th grade teacher for 2 years and a school counselor for 2 years so your channel has been AMAZING for me.

I hate planning for subs as well. I can't believe how much TIME it takes. I'm in agreement with you that I'd rather be in the classroom than plan for a sub.. :) Love your videos.

I think a book club is a great idea! I will miss these classroom vlogs over the summer. Hope to see some videos on preparing for the following year, lesson planner, etc.
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
+Amy I haven't been vlogging much lately. I have a video coming up very soon explaining why. I will do some vlogs as I get ready for school and some things that I do over the summer that help me stay current so don't worry there. I have decided to do a Make it Monday video for Mondays. I will show you how I made certain 'useful' or 'decorative' items in my classroom.

I think a book club would be great! I think periscope would be a great avenue for people to ask questions to you concerning the book/ tell you our thoughts:) Only 5 weeks for you! We have 7 weeks left here. But as a first year teacher I am kind of excited for my summer:)

Hi :) I was really stressed out from my work today (my computer didn't want the same as me :D), but seeing a new vlog of you makes my heart happy again :) Thank you for your answer whether you plan still on paper or not. We have to check off and sign our plans after a week, so I do it only on paper and change things right there at school if that's necessary. But if there was something like planbook in Germany too I would probably use it :D So go on like this! I think it is okay if you don't post everything in your blog. That's a lot of work and I prefer your videos anyway. I just love to watch your "rambling" ... I'm always in good mood after watching :) Sarah :)

Keep us updated about the book study. Question: how do you map out your year ? PS i LOLed when you said my husband plays video games and i do teacher stuff. Story of my life ! 😂😂😂
@BridgingLiteracy8 жыл бұрын
+Jenai Om I am working out all the logistics on that. Hope to have it figured out for June! Mapping my year is a process. It would probably be a long video so I may have it planned out already and give my tips for doing it with examples.

+Brianna Britt Hey, I was the same way! I'm a sophomore at UT and I'm an English major, pre-law and I wanted to be a child advocacy lawyer. A little over a monht ago I realized I wanted to work directly with children and not for children. I had to realize that difference, but I think teaching is where I'll make the biggest impact due to my personality and my strong love for children. I'm glad I caught it now and while I'm keeping my English major I am now an elementary education minor and through the program at UT I can earn my masters (yay for more pay lol) and get my license with just the minor. Also, a Tennessee licence is national so I can teach anywhere with it. I hope your journey goes well and who knows maybe we can collaborate in the future. :)

AprilFlowers wow great story! ! I'm a sophomore too!! I'm glad we both realized what we wanna do now which is cool! I wanted to be a child psychologist as well and same here my university offers a master's degree program :) and that would be cool if we would Collab one day l! Best of luck to you! And what grade do u wanna teach? I'm gonna minor in Psych and major in elementary education!
