When I was working a contract and staying at a hotel, housekeeping only cleaned our room FULLY once a week (linen change, full scrub down). They did stayovers during the week (garbage, replace dirty towels that are on the floor).

Lol… When I was touring I just didn’t want anyone in the room as I had all my computer stuff out and set up. We were typically only in a hotel for a few nights in a row so it wasn’t;t too bad. I did have 5 days in a row in Paris but it still wasn’t that bad. I didn’t have that much garbage! Then again, I was always in a private room. If I was sharing it might have been very different!

Since Covid it’s once every 3-5 days. Depending on hotel and depending on what you call down a request. They have NEVER gone back to pre standards because it saves them tons of $… but they will do whatever you ask if you call and request before you leave your room.

Though even Pre-CV in long term hotels and Condos many charged extra for Daily service, inc just once week full cleaning. If this room is Contracted doesn't surprise me at all. Spent 3 Decades Traveling staying long term Hotels, most time also got Taxes taken off for staying 28 days+

Hi, Jordan as this video posting you are almost done with your training here in So Cal. Having been here most of my life, there is 2 months, May Gray and June Glume, when we generally never see the sunrise because of the marine layer being so deep. I know the area were you "live & work" and it can be very warm once the sun breaks through the clouds. Glad to see you're enthusiastic outlook on this contract. Hope to sail soon on Utopia just to meet you. My husband and I have taken 14 of 40 cruises on Royal and enjoy the ice shows lots. Thanks for a great vlog. I always try to stay at either a Marriott (Residence Inn, Towne Place Suites) or Hilton (Home Again). Just an idea: pick up a large, insulated mug and fill it at the breakfast coffee station each morning. You then have coffee to get you through the am.

You only get weekly room service, at an extended stay hotel. You can put your trash bag outside the room door for the maid to take. Put a note on the door if you need anything like bathroom soap.

In a previous video, before you left for rehearsals, you had your skates sharpened. With this intense on ice work, how often do you have to sharpen them now?

FWIW, you only get "jet lag" when you lose time in the trip, virtually always when you fly east to west. You ended up with 3 extra hours, which is also explainable by the distance, it's just that your body woke up when it would back east, i.e., hours earlier than the west coast time you are now in.

Your 1st week looked so amazing! Though you're all a new cast, it's easy to see that the bonds devolved quickly! So by the time you get on board, you'll already be besties and I think it'll make a huge difference in working together on board! For your feet...I know that there must be a Daiso (a Japanese dollar store) nearby. They have a foot roller/massage thing that looks like a dog toy. It's shaped like a dog bone toy and it's made of solid rubber. Anyway, when you have down time, just put it on the floor and roll your feet over it. I have one and it helps to relieve my feet....sooooo goooood!!! Aloha🥰🌺

Glad rehearsals are going well! For burning rehearsal feet, run cold water in the bath, and sit on the edge to cool your feet (ice too, if there's an ice machine in the hotel). Works a treat! Housekeeping is selective at an extended stay hotel. They won't make your bed everyday. And you'll need to request new towels.
