i think that if you think of LA as a place for work/collaboration with your team and then your apartment as a nice place to relax/use the amenities/have a different vibe than CT you will feel less lonely or homesick. i think it is so hard to bring "homey" vibes to California, so my advice would be to think of CT as your main home, Florida as a fun vibe/vacation home and then LA as work/practical apartment. loved this vlog! have an amazing week.

In LA, I like the idea of a door man and safety. I think go that way. La is changing and it just seems convenient for you and Tommy. You can keep it clean and mix it more warm tones/antiques and still make it cozy. Or even give it that fresh coastal neutral vibe. It’ll feel like your California getaway!

The Doorman is an excellent move. Safety first. The modern apartment in of itself is already amazing. Throw in a dairy boy inspired Persian rug with a fit white couch and antique lamps. Paige you should look at Respara in Brentwood. It’s right on the freeway to downtown but it’s a little way from the hustle of West Hollywood. Also had 24/7 security if you travel you don’t have to worry about breaking and amenities. I see you stay at the One a lot and the vibe is very much like that

I think the apartment would be a good option for a home in LA esp. if they have security and can take in any delivery for you while you are away. I don't think a big home is needed if its just a place to fly into every now and then :) thank you also for sharing so much with us and keeping us in loop/involved as much as possible

As an architecture/interior design student I understand the importance of the feeling and dynamics of your living space. With that being said, I think the clean, safe, modern apartment will offer you the most peace of mind and makes the most sense. I think that because it's in LA, it will never fully feel authentically you anyways, so might as well fully embrace a new style that will offer comfort, safety, consistency, and peace of mind.

I feel like you'll make your new LA spot a home, it's who you are. Even though the city serves a certain purpose, I think your past experience has tarnished the thought of it ever becoming comfortable but this is not the same as before and you have a lot more freedom and experience to decide what you want and what's right for you. That being said, it sounds like a more comfortable setting (closeness to training courts for Tommy, good security, parking etc.) is what would suit the purpose of you being in LA better. Definitely think the modern apartment is the way to go! Since you’ll only be going on business, I think it’s safer, and the amenities and Tommy being able to practice is a huge plus!

Hi! I live in LA! I think it really depends on the neighborhood. You can find a safe place with a door code that matches your style and vibe. When you’re in LA do you use the gym / amenities these nicer buildings offer? If you’re in and out I feel like I would just get a cute apartment without all the bells and whistles for now. BUT have you looked into air bnb ? You can basically rent on there for 3-5 months and it’s definitely cheaper than a hotel. That way you have more time to decide. Idk I just feel like LA can feel so isolating and hectic it is nice to have a place that feels like home.
