If the M50 can serve as your vlogging camera AND your DSLR then the M50 would be a good choice so you don't normally have to carry both. BUT I've heard a lot of good things about the Sony model, mainly it's ability to focus quicker than the Canon (which I think is the G7X's biggest downfall). Still, the quality of the M50 looks great! Rent the Sony vlogging camera too!

Rented the Sony one this week 👍🏽 as for the canon M50, I actually have a separate DSLR that I use to fill my sit down videos so it’ll be like having 2 DSLR’s if I go with the canon M50 but I totally agree with you on having it as a DSLR / vlogging cam 💙🤙🏽
