Hi! I’m sure someone already mentioned this but I had the same issue with my computer & if you go into final cut & delete generated files that clears up a lot of space! Hope that helps ♥️♥️

That use to happen to me all the time, the only fix that I found was getting a new laptop, Idk what computer you edit on but I used to have a MacBook Air and I was told by someone at Apple the only way to fix the issue was to upgrade to a laptop with more storage, they told me MacBook pros were better for that, they have more storage than the air, especially with being a photographer and having so many files. The fix I used before that was uploading my work to a hard drive like a big one like a few terabytes and had to edit with that in.

for the disk space use "clean my mac!" on your computer! I had the same problem with editing but that helps clear out space that you might not be able to find. I use it to clean out my computer every week!! Also you can save the file in final cut to an external hard drive and edit off of that so it doesn't take up space on computer. One more thing -- the folder in finder called movies will have a final cut backups and you can clear files off of that that you don't need

also you can keeo the video files but the project files from final cut take up SO SO much space-- so you can just get rid of those:)
