As a Pakistani American, I cannot thank China enough for everything they have done for Pakistan. From defense, to ports, to highways, factories, power plants, etc etc we are so humbled. We love you China, we will never forget you were there for us in our darkest hour, when other nations were squeezing Pakistan constantly with sanctions, threat of war, etc, you were there... Why are you not talking about the cost of electricity produced here. This is one of the ipps projects which burden the nation in the form of capacity payment and loan. They must use local coal to reduce the electricity cost.

The electricity generated by this power plant is very expensive and fuel has to be imported from abroad to run it. Surprisingly, despite the presence of coal in the country, this plant is designed to run on imported fuel. It was a terrible mistake, we don't want such power plants

Too expensive for developing country. While during its lifetime Nuclear power plant is OK from cost/benefit perspective, it has great upfront cost, which is problematic to developing countries.
