@8:20 The African influence is too real! I have family from Limon, Costa Rica 🇨🇷(most black people there are native of Jamaica) and this looks like something my grandmother would make. I had a talk w a Nigerian friend about similarities of dishes from Nigeria and Caribbean countries and we honestly just call our dishes by another name.

Wow. Some delicious food you guys are munching there, Trudy!! 😀😃 I'm glad that I've eaten before viewing this video!! I love the idea, that some typical East Afrikan dishes have made their way down the coast to Mozambique. This is a great example of Pan-Afrikanism. But, you gotta know that Mozambique is well known for its tasty seafood. It makes sense, because of the whole coast of Moz' is on the ocean. You guys have to sample those giant Mozambique prawns. They are like enormous shrimp - like the size of plantains. Take a minute to google " Mozambique Prawns", you'll be amazed!!

As a Californian, I also eat avocado with everything! I love it so much! Plus, it’s so good for you. It’s more common to eat it with savory food, but it is a fruit. We have avocado ice cream, and you can add it to baked foods, like brownies.

Ahh nsima is our staple food in Malawi. Cassava leaf with peanut butter' okra too, that tomato salad. Howe er avocado is a snack or dessert with a sprinkle of sugar. It can vibe used as a speead in breast too. We eat lots of fish from lake Malawi. Thanks for sharing

EAST AFRICAN FOOD IS LIFE! When I saw that chapati & pilau I wanted to scream. This is beautiful. So interesting to see a taste of another part of Africa in another country. We really are one. I am watching from Trinidad & tobago and i find it amusing that you all find women driving teansport busws is so inovatuve. We had a woman priminister 20 yes ago. Women drive 16 wheeler transport trucks. Garbage collection trucks.. But nice video especially with food
