I extra-loved this vlog! I can’t pinpoint any particular reason, but maybe it’s because you expressed joy even when a segment wasn’t joyful-e.g., Nate being gone, shopping at TJ’s. And thank you for including us constituents in with your FaceTime with Nate! So sweet. I also loved how you described why you enjoy participating in runs and the camaraderie of the Cali runners. I always feel uplifted from your videos! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ On a side note, back when I first brought my puppy home at 8 weeks old (he’s 7 mos. old now) and we were having a lot of the required puppy exams & vaccines at the vet, I happened to be looking at the shelves full of all the Rx dog foods for various health problems. As knowledgeable as I think I am with dogs, I saw what I can’t remember right now what it’s called, but it was food for dogs that are allergic to chicken. And I go, “What?!” to the receptionist, “Allergic to chicken? Who’s allergic to chicken?!!” And she said, yes, it’s quite common, and the symptom is that they scratch all the time. Fast forward a couple months, and I see my puppy scratching and say, “Why are you scratch...” Whoa! He’s been scratching a lot and his puppy food is chicken!!!! So I bought the lamb-&-rice formula (it’s just Purina Focus, not an Rx) and gradually changed him over to that. Incredible: no more scratching. I’m still flabbergasted that it’s common for dogs to be allergic to chicken. And you know where I’m going with this: D.C. scratching (and making scary door-knocking sounds 😂), appearing to not enjoy his food (although my puppy was inhaling his at every meal as if he hadn’t eaten in days), and your vet’s comment that D.C. has allergies. So if D.C.’s food is chicken-based, perhaps that could be causing the scratching. BTW, a further surprise was finding that chicken-based dog food is so prevalent-turkey, too. Then there’s the whole grain-free movement and the FDA coming out with bad news for that, so who knew that futzing over dog food could be so fretful?!! 🙄

MILK AND HONEY LIFE, Charlotte, it dawned on me to share a common method when transitioning pets to a new food. Here’s the formula: Start with 75% current with 25% new for 3 days. Then 50%/50% for 3 days. Then 75%/25% for 3 days. Then 100% new. Luv ya! 💕

KJ Gulyban I stopped drinking socially at 24 most of my friends knew about my mom so there wasn’t much question why. In social situations out..go to the bar alone and order a seltzer with a twist of lemon or lime so you have something in your hand to keep hydrated without feeling left out. I’ve also ordered a red bull with a splash of Grenadine which is essentially colored sweetener. If someone bought you a drink I would either reject politely explain you don’t drink or toss it into a planter/sink when I wasn’t being observed. I think the social acceptability in choosing not to drink is so much higher now I have many friends who don’t drink simply because they are too health-conscious they don’t want to be dehydrated the next day or be subjected to gluten or other chemicals in processing the alcohol. Remember you never owe anyone a true explanation unless you want to give it to them. I’ve said anything from I’m watching my weight so I can’t have sugar to I don’t enjoy drinking. When the going gets hard remember alcohol is killing the people you love who struggle with it. I keep a photo close of my mom who passed away. I hope some of this was helpful to you💖🤗

Do you feed DC gluten free? Try to get dog food that is grain free and maybe it will help with his itching! I was in Paris many years ago and my favorite Macaron was the raspberry! Also remember having a great raspberry muffin at a Starbucks in Houston one time but have never seen them anywhere since. I did see a strawberry one in a coffee shop nearby but since I am gluten free I could not have it! Your macrons looked wonderful!

I’m not sure when I’ll watch your vlog. Maybe when I walk my doggo or before I sleep today. I have so much work that needs to get done that I have to miss one Diwali party (I’m a Hindu) today that is with the whole family friends group.😭it’s fine. College is a priority.
