Thanks man! I wonder why nobody mentioned the app as a "flippy screen" A+. This changed my mind about this camera. I'm currently going insane trying to decide between Canon R5 and the SL2-S. I had Canon before and I like the controls, but I also had a digital M and own two film Ms (including the MP). So I love Leica.

It's a hard decision between those two cameras. If you already have some good RF-Mount Lenses, I would suggest going with the R5. If not and you love Leica, I guess you will be very happy with the SL2-S.

@@Christian_Kurz Thanks for your answer! I love my Leica MP, but I also hate Leica because it was sent back 4 times and exchanged 3 times. They just don't know how to build mechanical cameras anymore. The knowledge is gone. But that's another story. Their service was stellar. I did love that. I don't have any RF lenses, I guess the SL2-S is the one for me :)

@@azzalosthe SL2-S is a tank… I doubt you’ll need service.

I think the focus wasn’t pulling in because it was on AF S. So it only focuses again when the shutter is half pressed, or you’d need it in AFC or possible the iAF
@Christian_Kurz Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately not. It was on AFC and on eye AF. This does not happen very often but sometimes, unfortunately, it happens.

@@Christian_Kurz oh ok. I was just going off what was on the screen here 2:09 when you were talking about it.

What color profiles are you using? It looks natural

I´m shooting L-Log. In the editing process i convert the footage with Leica´s Lut into rec 709 and do a bit of grading from there on, nothing fancy.
@ericrjennings Жыл бұрын
@@Christian_Kurz appreciate it. How are you converting to rec-709? (I use free version of davinci)
@Christian_Kurz Жыл бұрын
I´m using resolve too, it's the payed version but everything I do is available in the free version too.
@ericrjennings Жыл бұрын
@@Christian_Kurz great to know. I just have to figure out where to do that now
@Christian_Kurz Жыл бұрын
@@ericrjennings Just download the Lut from Leica's page, then go to the color tab in resolve and throw it on your second node(you need the first one for adjustments) from there on you are free to do your own grading or experiment with Luts that resolve provides. Maybe I do a video once.
