Hank Jr Used to be the voice for Monday Night Football. The NFL yanked him because of his views and outspoken ways that he refused to backdown from.

Actually there is controversy between who walked away he came back after Donald Trump who won the presidency but he left again after the loser started taking a knee because he couldn't play football anyway and he wanted to cry and whine because white people who raised him and paid for everything apparently didn't do enough Hank junior did a tune called take a knee take a hike and said I'm afraid NFL means not for long and judging from the Taylor Swift horseshit this is about the last year so enjoy

The album this came out on, Habits Old & New, was the 1st country album to ever have a parental advisory label on it for language
@billybee3423 Жыл бұрын
Uhhh…This album came out in 1980. The PMRC (parental advisory stickers) didn’t come out until 1987. Now, you are partially right. Hank III (Jrs Boy) did have the first stickered country album, “Straight To Hell” released in 2006. If you haven’t heard it, it is considered somewhat of a masterpiece, but be warned, it’s not for the faint of heart or virgin ears.
@garygoodman4342 Жыл бұрын
@billybee3423 when the labels came out, they were forced to put them on this album. Just because the labels didn't start til 1987 doesn't mean that albums before then weren't made to have them from that point. I know because I bought this album in 1988 and it had one on it.

They been playing this on juke boxes and cover bands in country and rock clubs for now 43 years; everyone singing alone. This was never released as a single as you might have imagined. 1980 "Old Habits & New" album. HWJR is a grassroots music legend among the highest there has ever been or ever will be in the REAL American culture! When he dies, the media will never say it, but it is absolutely TRUE!

I've liked this song since the album first came back, long ago. All these years, I wondered about "high heel sneakers" since I had never heard of such a thing and, even now, I have heard the term only in this song. I just accepted it as one of many things in life I didn't "get". While watching this reaction, I finally tried googling the term. Who knew? They really are a "thing", I don't think I've ever actually seen somebody wear any, but I don't really spend much time inspecting wardrobes. After seeing the images on google, though, the term makes sense.
