Helen i used to sit on the lounge , with the TV on , but scrolling through my phone ..But this winter , I started crocheting again , making granny square blankets...Love it ...Iv made over 10 ..Just been giving them to family , now I'm going to donate them to the home less ..xx

Helen if you want avoid the knots try using a big strip of cardboard and wind your lights round it like a bobbin when you are putting everything away!

I was just going to write the same. I use a kitchen paper cardboard roll to wrap my lights, but strip of cardboard works as well. 👌🏻

I love your Vlogmas and look forward to it every year! ❤ also, little Xmas tree lighting hack I’ve learned, instead of doing them around the tree, do them vertical (up and down) and it’s so much easier to take off and makes the tree lights look so much fuller too! If you remember, give it a go next year and see if you prefer it that way.

Helen I died laughing when you pulled out the tree lights. Everyone’s nightmare. I was just shouting at the scree,”buy the pre-lit tree”! You crack me up in the best way possible. You’re delightful. I do have a tip for the lights though. I save kitchen roll tubes, make a slit at one end then wrap the lights around the tube. Secure the end into the other side of the roll. If you need to secure with tape. I like to us those snap bracelets you get as kids to make extra sure the lights won’t unravel. This is a great way to pack up left over wrapping paper as well. Those bracelets are so useful. I hope this helps love.

I learnt how to embroider using kits at the start of the first lockdown in 2020 and learnt to knit in 2021. I find it so fantastic to keep my hands busy when I’m watching tv or listening to an audiobook so I’m not reaching for my phone all the time. I’ve done so many embroidery kits now everyone keeps getting them for birthday and Xmas from me 😅

Yay I love vlogmas! Regarding the Christmas tree, in my country (Argentina) it is very common to buy a fake Christmas tree but they last forever! I have the one that used to be my grandmother's!!

Definitely just wrap the lights around a piece of card! It’s a game changer! You can even cut little notches in it so they don’t move out of place x

Tip for lights! Wrap them round old Prosecco bottles/alcohol bottles you finish during the festive period x
