Hi Rachel, my daughter has small children and they tend to get sick with a cold a lot and she swears by onion honey. You take a mason jar, pour honey in it. Cut up pieces of onion. Put that in it put the lid on it. Put it in a dark, cool place. Let it ferment for 24 hours. Then you take the onion out and you can use the honey. She has used this for a couple of years now and it kicks whatever you've got out of you so I just wanted to suggest maybe doing that and hopefully you'll see good results as she has. Merry Christmas! I feel your pain with the dog next door. We have one next door to us and they have 5 dogs but only one of them barks. We had 8 solid hours of it on Saturday, it never stopped, you’d think it would wear itself out wouldn’t you? Not the sort of neighbours you can have a civilised conversation with either 😢

I have found that Olbas Oil inhalation over hot water and a bowl is so good when you’re congested. Back to the old remedies - when I was nursing they still used Nelson’s inhalers. Just googled them and you can still get them 😂. Hope you feel better soon and manage to have fun at Christmas with the family xx

Layla is gorgeous.The way she was cuddling the bear I don't think it will be going on the tree.❤. I use Vicks vaporub when I have a cold.Just rub a small amount on the underneath of your nose,on your throat and upper chest and it will help you breathe.

Morning Rachel, so sorry you're having to put up with a barking dog. You really must tell your neighbour, it's not fair on you or the poor dog. I sympathise with you so much as I also have a cold and feel rough. I didn't get to sleep till around 2.30 as my mind was going over and over things that are long past. Mental Health is all consuming in the middle of the night, especially when you live alone. I'm 73 and a lifetime of regrets flood my stupid head plus I have an earworm of O Holy Night going round and round my head. Its 8.30 now so I'm going out with my dog Dolly to clear my head, then some sewing. Hope your feeling better this morning Rachel, I love all your vlogs so much. Merry Christmas dear lady xx

Bloody dog. I couldn't sleep through that either. You will need to contact the authorities. You have to be able to sleep, especially when you are ill or have to go to work. You are not going to be any good to anybody without sleep.

Let your neighbours know about the dog as they may not be aware of the problem. Never assume that your dog doesn't do the same when nobody is at home. Communication is always the first best option.

Yes I have experienced this problem. A chat is nice, and I have had mixed results in two different circumstances. In one case the dog was left in the house and barked all day but at least it was muffled a little bit, and in the second case the response was to tell me to try ear plugs. lol

You can’t buy them in the uk and they are only prescribed for very specific reasons

I think I remember you have had problems with the neighbours dog before… The RSPSA need to take the dog because they clearly don’t know how to look after animals and certainly have no respect for neighbours. Selfish thoughtless people.
