Here is another idea to throw into the mix...... Work the right sleeve with the odd # yarn days and the left sleeve with the even # yarn days. You would still get the fad effect and the end of the sleeves would be light with the two sides meeting in the middle being darker. Hope you get over this cold and feel better soon!

The sock pattern is beautiful!! I would cast on too. Might want to wait till you feel a little better and brain is less stuffy. Love the Toft!!🎄🧶💗

Another idea for your Cardi you can use half of mini 1 for the right sleeve and start the left sleeve with the other half of mini 1 that way you have the fade on both sleeves and the darkness colours will join in the middle 😊

Just catching up, I’m already behind on my Vlogmas watching - work just gets in the way 😂 The socks look fabulous, I have really enjoyed colourwork socks this year. I still haven’t decided what I’m doing with my advents, I’m veering away from a Radvent and think possibly the Unwind Knitwear pattern for one and the other pattern I am considering is the Bye Bye Birdie Cardie which is a top down fade.

I'm sadly with you in the poorly boat, but I was in hospital for nearly 2 weeks (still need to catch up on 2 of your podcasts). I'm dreading that this is round 2 of what I was in hospital for - I have a permanent urinary catheter, so always have a uti, but it's been affecting my kidneys in a bad way.

You could alway do odd days on one sleeve and even days on the other so it splits the fade a bit

I defo think you will be better off knitting the Radvent cardie from day 1 to say 12 and then from day 12 to day 1 so your arms and back of the cardie to the centre should reflect one another, if you know what I mean.! I am also knitting a 24x 20g Advent fade and I have chosen to knit the stripes sweater by Andrea Mowley. This sweater is a top down striped sweater and I am loving the outcome so far! Why not knit half of each skein until day 24 and then work in reverse. You'll get a gradient from the spine out to the sleeves.
