And I thoroughly enjoyed A Week in Winter by Maeve Binchy when I first read it a few years ago A funny thing, I purchased A Week in Winter by Marcia Willet when I was in the States this September. Great selection! Winter Solstice and A Week in Winter (Maeve Binchy) are two of my favourites. I need to try something by Laurie Colwin, what's a good one to start with? This winter I've been in the mood for something a little spooky though... I've been cozying up with The Toll House by Carly Reagon and it's perfect.
@jensreadinglife12 күн бұрын
Spooky can be very satisfying this time of year! For Laurie Colwin, I recommend starting with either Happy All the Time if you want a novel or else Home Cooking if you are in the mood for nonfiction.

I just finished Winter Solstice yesterday and loved it! I tryed to read her books in Dutch translation, at a time I didn't read books in English yet and didn't like them...but love to read it in English, the conversation do make so much more sense. Might also be a age thing ...And I just was gifted Midwinter Murder by Agatha Christie, a really lovely hardback by HarperCollens Publishers, so I will read that next. I noticed A Place to Hang the Moon as a free audiobook after you talked about it in another video, a really nice story indeed!
