Sometimes we don't have to sleep to give our bodies a rest. Imo listening to your body, especially after being sick, goes a long way toward recovery. Congrats on the Jimmy Beans collaboration. You deserve to be rewarded for your talents and your well informed opinions. And BTW that was one huge chicken!! Dinner did look delicious.

I love your dog Middie!! She is adorable!!!! Jimmy Beans wool co is one of my favorites to buy from, and your blanket will be beautiful and fun to knit- the pattern looks so pretty! I knit the Sarah Hatton day out blanket and had to sew the squares together and then knit the border. I said no blanket knitting ever again, but I did enjoy knitting the squares.

Love the idea of working on 1 gift knit each month! I made a makenine board for the month of December to make all the gift-knits, and probably not going to finish all of them 😂. Having a whole year sounds much better!

wow that bread look soooo amazing!!! Thats a funny story about Midi! I was driving with my dog doing errands and I bought a small sleeve of butter cookies which I opened and ate a few, then I went into the post office and came back out and was driving when I noticed the cellophane wrapper on the floor and remembered I had been eating those cookies...ends up my dog did eat every single butter cookie in the wrapper! I was so surprised because normally she was very picky eater but apparently she loved that butter taste!! so funny! Thats actually a good idea, to start xmas knitting in January... maybe it could be a KAL? even doing one every other month so we end up with 6 xmas gifts all ready would be so nice! Hey, Im glad you got the nice Jimmy Beans blanket kit, thats terrific! and it does go perfectly with your podcast!

On the subject of chocolate and dogs. It’s much more toxic if it is dark chocolate. The milk chocolate usually will give them diarrhea, but dark cocoa can make them severely I’ll.

My cat has an obsession with silicone. He ate one of my knitting needle stoppers. I found the barfed up chewed remains a few days later.

Hi Amber, catching up on vlogs. I too like making things for knit worthy people. I always knit socks for my two married boys and their wives, but I always start in January. Since they all have bigger feet than me, it takes longer and starting then I can relax and enjoy the process. I’ve been making shorties for the girls lately which they seem to enjoy. I can get rid of leftovers and mix up the colors. I have to be more conservative with colors for the boys and sometimes that gets boring. Thanks for podcasting and for the Jimmy Beans info, did not know that. Feel better!

Oh, yes, you would definitely need to start earlier! All of the men in my life who I knit for have size 9-10 US feet, so it's not too bad.

Many years ago we were celebrating a birthday. When I went to cut the chocolate cake, which was near the edge of the table, there was a long lick spot. The dog was guilty. He was fine afterwards.

Jimmy Beans is a perfect collaboration for you. There use to be a KZbinr I followed that ended up working for them because she bought so much from them. Her KZbin was called Dairy of a Yarn Snob. I haven’t had her come up in my feed in a few years.

Yay! Glad Jimmy Beans is setting up a colab. I was able to visit them a few years back when my travels tool me through Reno. They were in an industrial area and had a HUGE warehouse space in back that you could shop in and had some good deals. I had heard they bought Mad Tosh and seems they are doing a lot of cool things with them now. Also, an informal year-long Christmas gift along would be fun. I would also do well to do a pair per month and put away for December.

I love Jimmy Beans, it is my favorite local yarn store even though I have to drive 2 1/2 hours to get there. Laura the owner is amazing, she started years ago as a coffee shop owner in Truckee and had a small amount of yarn in her shop as well. Now her store is huge and I think she also owns Madeleine Tosh. I’ve done their blanket club and it’s wonderful! They are the most helpful crew with online orders as well. You made a great choice!

Lol my sister's 15 lb, 10 year old dog climbed up on their tressle table bench one night and absconded with a dozen donuts. At first they thought she had eaten them all that night and were worried. But eventually they found 5 of them. They were hard as a rock, hidden under beds and cabinets, behind curtains, and inside closets 😅 Your puppy is in good company! And yes, I've ordered from Jimmy Beans before, and have done some of their KAL's. Love them, and MadTosh, too ❤

My 8 year old dog just recently got up on the table and ate a whole stick of butter. She never did that before. I’m super interested in the Blanket Club - it sounds perfect for me. I like to knit for others but I don’t have any that are knitworthy. I love to make things for my grandkids but she never puts them on the kids. I love your vibe ❤

Hi Amber! Thanks for all of the gluten free recommendations! I need to avoid gluten, dairy and soy so I really appreciate your recommendations. Are you able to eat the sourdough? I’ve heard that some people can tolerate that type of bread. Thanks again!
