I am always listening to my family and friends when they say “oh I love that” or “oh I wish I had that” and then I end up buying them that gift. I also love giving sentimental gifts like homemade ornaments from Etsy or making a gift basket with all of their favorite goodies. This is the season of giving and I absolutely love it!

My favourite gift to give is something I know someone really wants but either can’t afford or “don’t think they need it”. I love seeing their face when they open it. My favorite thing to gift someone is something they didn’t ask for. Meaning, I love gifting surprises to my friends and family so when they open it they know I put thought and effort into paying attention to their interests to gift them something they will love. Seeing someone open a gift from me that they weren’t necessarily expecting and seeing the excitement is by far the best gift I could receive in return!! 🎁

My favorite holiday memory was not having to pay bills. LOL! What my favorite gift to give to others is a big gift box (bag) of their favorite things....like fave sweets, gift cards to their fave retailers, or gift card to pamper themselves. My top two fondest memories of Christmas have to be when I was a child still believing in Santa. The excitement of Christmas morning was unmatched! I remember never being able to sleep the night before lol. My other fondest memory is spending Christmas Eve at my great grandmothers house each year with all my family. She has now past and we carry on the same tradition with my granny who is her daughter. I just love being with family so much!! ❤❤

My grandmother crocheted. One thing she made was little booties that you could wear on your feet when it was cold. She had several that she kept for guests. My mother would get a pair every few years as a birthday or Christmas gift. I loved them and often said it would be nice if I could have my own.

My fondest memory is when our family friends of ours didn’t get their paycheck in time for Christmas. (Single mom of 3 kids) so my family went out on Christmas Eve, and bought abunch of gifts, had a wrapping party, and filled stockings and show up to her door that night. My most memorable and favorite Christmas memory is when my whole family was gathered at my grandma's home in a tiny town in North Dakota for Christmas Eve. A blizzard came that evening and we all had to stay overnight. All the cousins had a big sleepover and I'm fairly certain the adults enjoyed plenty of cocktails :)

I’m obsessed with all of your videos omg! My favorite memory during the holiday season is when we were little my grandparents would have all the cousins dress up and reenact the Nativity scene. My mom has 6 siblings so there was always a newborn baby coming around so they would play baby Jesus, and everyone else would be Mary, Joseph, the animals, etc. It will forever be one of my favorite memories and something I want to do with my kids when I have a family :)

We always used to host Christmas night at my parents house growing up! All of my friends and our family would come over after all of their holiday obligations were over and we’d eat the best food (made by my mom) and play games ALL NIGHT. My favorite memory is hosting Christmas Eve with all of our neighbors and watching my parents cook a huge Cuban feast. My dad would always let me help him with the plantains and I would help my mom flip the flan! I don’t have a favorite gift that I like to give to someone because I try my best to be intentional on my gifts with what the person would like. I do my best to think about the person and what they like, what they use often, what they want but don’t have, an item that goes with a memory I have with that person, or something that reminds me of them. My favorite Christmas memory is going shopping for my brother and parents at the school holiday shop! My parents always taught us the value of money and doing chores around the house or neighborhood allowed me to save some money and go shopping at school for them. Even if it was $3, it was special because I worked “hard” and used the little I had to make them feel special.

Favorite holiday memory: when I was really little, my dad would always get home from work before my mom. I would make him “hide” under the tree with me to scare her when she walked in. I really thought she wouldn’t be able to see either of us, even though I laugh now thinking about how my dads legs would hang halfway out into the living room. I remember waiting what felt like hours for her to walk in the door. My dad and I staring up at the Christmas lights in the tree from down on the floor. I always felt like I was in a forest of magical lights. My mom would walk in the door and pretend not to see us. She would “look” everywhere for us until I jumped out. My parents are divorced now, but it’s one of my fondest childhood memories and really felt so magical. I think about it all the time. Favorite gift to give: something I know they want but would never justify buying for themselves. Or an experience like a cooking class, comedy show etc :)

I personally love to be intentional with gifts and really seek out a gift specific to that person, but my husband and I raise beef .. so it’s really cool to get to put in work all year long to gift beef to family and friends so they have a freezer full for the following year, meat is expensive, and we love to try and take that burden away for others. My favorite Christmas memory is going with my family to bless another family for Christmas - getting to pick out gifts together to give to others, cook a meal, and go spend time with a family in need or someone who may be alone for the holidays. I learned how to make tie blankets in Girl Scouts as a kid and I would make tie blankets for my family members.
