Hey! My grandpa used to call them red gram peas, but I recently found out they’re the same as tur dal, the dried peas used to make Indian dal dishes. I’ve been watching too many YT cooking shows 😂

If you had Spanish rice and beans, most likely you have eaten them. If not, you can make that. Cynthia, could I get a pod or two please that is if you have not eaten them already !

I have been so interested in pigeon peas. I will have to try them. I like beans. They would be good cooked with some smoked turkey neck, onion, garlic. chicken broth and other seasoning of your choice. Dang made me want to grow some for real now. Can you send me a few?

How dare you wear shorts 😂. Pigeon pea is a one we use to make rice & peas or rice&beans as some call it. I am sure you can replace black eyed peas with pigeon peas in many recipes
