And yet each and every one of them IS a quality video! There is not a single thing they could post that I wouldn’t be entertained by. Heck, I was beyond entertained and cracking up at them filming a wall for six minutes and not realizing it! I had to watch that several times. I’d much rather have that than all of the other creators who do over the top over produced videos. Real genuine life is the kind of quality I want to see, no matter what that looks like day to day.

Tyler - your comment on coffee table books.... I'm a Librarian. Back in 2019 we were discussing that our coffee table books had very low circulation. I created a book display with the sign, "I Like Big Books and I Cannot Lie!" I put out a variety of all our unusually large books and kept the display stocked for a month. Circulation numbers definitely went up!

Fellow Vlogmas convert here 👋🏼 I’ve got two tidbits of helpful information to help both your coffee and audio quests. 1) Shure SM7B mics tend to have issues with output. You may have to look into an inline signal booster like the CloudLifter to get enough signal to your Zoom H8 so that you don’t have to push your preamps too hard and run into signal noise. 2) Your Chemex uses an unbleached filter that, when left unrinsed, can impart a slight paper taste into your coffee. My suggestion is to rinse your filter with hot water to reduce the amount of paper sediment that ends up in your coffee and to preheat your Chemex so that the brewer does not absorb any of the heat that should be transferring to your coffee. Also, a cheap Walmart kitchen scale should help you make a delicious cup of coffee more consistently day after day by using grams to measure both your coffee and water. I hope that helps in any small way it may. Cheers!

I read the coffee table books too, though maybe more flicking through and reading a section for a break from others rather than cover to cover most of the time. I have to not spend too long in the book section of TK Maxx or I end up with lots of the Taschen books as they’re reduced so much there. Also seems like I’m cleaning the kitchen a lot, even if I don’t actually do any cooking it seems to be a magnet for everything!

In regards to the kitchen, learned many years ago to clean as I go. If my husband is cooking, I clean as he goes :) - he’s very messy but produces many good meals. I clean our kitchen island, countertops on average of 3 times a day - and it’s only him and I in the house - I don’t like messiness or debris of any kind :)
