I second that I never had help with my 3 kids I did it alone he worked all the time. Makes you a strong person and you learn very quickly to just do it. I wish they were little again I miss those times even though they were busy.

@@sweetsanddandy8639 you are so right. Some of the problem is the way that people phrase things. Jessica and Tyler both work full time, and they both take equal responsibility with the girls. That makes total sense. The whole thing about a dad “helping” makes it seem like it is all the mom’s responsibility and he is being so nice to help her. Both parents should have equal responsibility with their children and around their house.

It took me a few episodes to get into The Santa Clauses, but it was cute and pulled me in more as we went. Amazon “gift bags” have also become my favorite. After years of family sending gifts I now have a nice supply for Xmas. 😂😊 It makes “wrapping” so easy. Lol

My husband and I don’t argue too much over chores, but we did recently invest in a super cute acrylic chore chart and it’s kind of nice to have something to keep track of household chores so concretely. We got one for our daughter, too, to try to get her more involved in chores. There’s a bunch of super cute ones on Etsy that you can personalize.

The storm you mentioned is something I've been experiencing all day. Right now it's 1° with -19° wind chill! 🥶. 25-35 mph wind gusts here. We got a little snow but less than expected. It's 7° in Terre Haute, IN as I wrote this. Saw it on TV weather! What a tease giving us a peek at the podcast song!! 🥴 I'm telling you Tiny Tyler was a little blurry so I even questioned myself when finding him. Is that him? 🤷🏼‍♀️ I had to screen shot my zoomed in screen shot to zoom in even more 😂 I used to buy gift bags the day after Christmas (in the 90s!) and then I will reuse some. They're in a Rubbermaid bin. I used a few while wrapping yesterday and today! 👍🏻

I'm in central PA and we have such high winds. It's -9⁰ here right now. At my house we luckily haven't lost power but my parents did for quite a few hours and they live 13 miles from me, then my brother and sister lost power for quite a while and they're another 15 miles on the other side of my parents. 3 trees have fallen in my yard so far 🙃 but luckily nothing has been damaged! Just a ton of ice, we only got like an inch of snow more than we had already.

That lovely storm you are talking about is in full force here in southern Minnesota and boy Jessica that night before the storm started was the perfect storm at the stores, no carts available lol, took 20 minutes to drive 1.5 miles lol. Stay safe during this storm, the wind is insane!

I love gift bags for a lot of different things that are more difficult to wrap on their own. So a few years ago I purchased a bunch of plain white bags in various sizes, and decorated them up myself as Christmas bags. We reuse them every year and it helps cut down on the actual wrapping time. It's one of the best Christmas hacks I have ever done.

Keep us advised of the snow happenings. My aunt has three grandchildren. Two boys and a girl. The all the girls gifts are wrapped in angel paper, 1 boys gifts are wrapped in Santa paper, the last is wrapped in snowman paper. So on Christmas morning they know which gifts are theirs.
