Hello and welcome to vlogmas day 21!! Today I am in the kitchen making a batch of yummy Peanut Butter Snowballs. 💕
Peanut Butter Balls with Cream Cheese:
Ingredients
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
How to Make Peanut Butter Balls with Cream Cheese
Follow this simple step-by-step guide to make your very own peanut butter balls.
Step 1: Prepare the Ingredients
Start by gathering all three ingredients in the quantities listed above. Make sure the cream cheese is softened to room temperature, as this will make mixing easier and result in a smoother texture. If you’ve just taken it out of the fridge, let it sit out for about 30 minutes before you start.
Set up a medium mixing bowl where you will combine all ingredients.
Step 2: Combine Cream Cheese and Peanut Butter
In the medium mixing bowl, add the softened cream cheese and peanut butter. Using a hand mixer or a sturdy spatula, beat the ingredients together until the mixture is creamy and smooth. You’ll want to mix until you no longer see any chunks of cream cheese, and the two ingredients have fully combined. Take your time with this step, as a well-blended base will lead to a better texture in the final product. The mixture should be smooth, thick, and creamy.
Step 3: Add Powdered Sugar
Gradually add powdered sugar to the cream cheese and peanut butter mixture. It’s best to add the powdered sugar in small increments rather than all at once to make sure it’s fully incorporated and to avoid clumps.
Stir or beat the mixture until the powdered sugar is fully combined. You should notice the mixture thickening into a dough-like consistency, which will make it easy to roll into balls.
Keep mixing until you no longer see any powdered sugar, and the dough feels cohesive and firm.
Step 4: Form the Peanut Butter Balls
Once the mixture has reached a thick, doughy consistency, use a small cookie scoop or spoon to scoop out portions of the dough. Roll each scoop into a ball about 1 inch in diameter.
Place each ball onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Make sure to leave a small space between each ball so they don’t stick together.
Continue this process until you’ve used up all of the dough. You should end up with approximately 20-25 peanut butter balls depending on the size you make.
Step 5: Chill the Peanut Butter Balls
Place the baking sheet with the peanut butter balls in the refrigerator. Chill for at least 30 minutes or until they are firm to the touch. Chilling helps the balls set, making them easier to handle and enhancing their flavor.
If you’re in a rush, you can also pop them in the freezer for about 15 minutes for faster chilling.

Chocolate Coating: Melt chocolate and dip each ball in it for a chocolate-peanut butter combination. Simply melt your favorite chocolate (milk, dark, or white) and dip each chilled ball into the chocolate before placing it back on the parchment paper to set.
Add Toppings: Sprinkle crushed peanuts, shredded coconut, or mini chocolate chips over the top of each peanut butter ball for added texture and flavor.
Add a Touch of Salt: For a sweet-and-salty flavor, add a pinch of sea salt to the top of each ball before chilling.
Storage and Serving Suggestions
Storing: Store these peanut butter balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. For longer storage, you can freeze them in an airtight container for up to three months.
Serving: These peanut butter balls are best served cold or slightly chilled. Enjoy them as a dessert, a quick snack, or a simple treat to serve guests. They’re also great for packing into lunchboxes or sharing at gatherings.
