I'm sorry that gel didn't work for you. I have never used it but I tend to stick to just a few gels that work all the time for me. At one time I thought about becoming a natural hair content creator, but when I thought about all the products I might need to try I knew it wasn't for me. It takes patience to do all that you guys do, and my patience is in short supply. Have a wonderful Christmas!🎄🎄 See ya next year.

Yeah, stick to what you know works. Just an FYI, you could always be a content creator that did it from a different angle, like teaching techniques, teaching ingredients, hair styles, etc. You wouldn't necessarily have to use a lot of different products. This gel didn't work for me the first time either. I may give it a try with the curl and shine conditioner too. I thought matching it with the JBCO leave in would do it but it didn't. I didn't get flakes, but I also didn't get hold 😭Despite my love for Shea Moisture, they need to give it up on the gels.

I used that gel once and gave it away! 😂 I was a frizzy mess. Probably one of the worse wash n gos I ever had.

Yes, I 100% agree with you about flaxseed!! I steer clear of products with that in them, especially gels. That's why Curl Mix never agreed with my hair.

I was able to achieve a wash and go with CurlMix but it just didn't last long.

Flaxseed ALWAY flakes on my hair, even if my hair's naked. Aloe, Guar, Xanthan Gum, Hydroxyethylcellusoe & starches are finnicky for me and I have to be very mindful of how I use them. Thanks for taking one for the team because I definitely considered trying this but my hair is too similar to yours for me to think it'll work any different lol

I've tried a number of flaxseed gels, from multiple brands. It doesn't matter the brand, as it will always flake and create snow in my hair. My hair hates flaxseed gels.

I’m sorry that it didn’t work out for you. Your hair is still cute & fluffy. After all these years that Shea Moisture has been putting out gels, they ALL seem to flake.They just still haven’t gotten the formulation right. On my high porosity hair, flex seed soaks right into my strands. Shea Moisture does not work for my hair at all so I'm not surprised.

I did go to soultanicals website for frozen it said the following FLAKE FREE SHAMPOOS OUT EASILY CAN BE USED WITH OTHER STYLERS STRONG/SUPER HOLD. I do hope it does not flake on you. Look forward to the video review.

Yup, that gel is just not good in my book. The flakes are just ridiculous. I am happy I only tired it once and got rid of it. Thanks for testing it further and bringing us your results. I happen to love flaxseed, but I use it in my DIY recipes - not in purchased products. When I make my own flaxseed gel it gives me amazingly shiny and defined twistout results. The only purchased products containing flaxseed that have worked for me are the Product Junkie Naturals flaxseed buttercreams (but she might be out of business now, IDK). I've enjoyed your uploads this month! Have a very Merry and Blessed Christmas!!

Hi Rae I am so sorry 😢 the Shea Moisture defining gel was another fail even with using the original white conditioner. You might be on to something with your hair and flaxseed but hopefully the NLS flaxseed gel will not flake on you literally and figuratively. Not sure if you will vlog Christmas so Merry Christmas.

I love your hair and video.Well that stinks, I was hoping the side with no leave in wouldn't flake😔. I'm sorry it was a fail. I know this sounds silly is there an expiration date. Maybe the product is older, I know I'm throwing a lot of straws out there.
