Hello! I just stumbled upon your channel thanks to Vlogmas. The color on your crochet project is stunning! You are absolutely doing your stitches correctly. Each individual stitch gets worked in the v made from the previous round. Your increases are to be worked in the chain space just as you are doing. Keep up the great work!!

You go into the top of the individual stitches. You want a “v” on your hook when you go into the stitch.

Sometimes you crochet into the spaces, sometimes into the stitches.

Hi Alison! I’ve done a few chevron blankets and I’ve always crocheted in the space between the stitches. I find that it makes the stitches less likely to pull. This tutorial by Bella Coco may help. kzbin.info/www/bejne/hISWqpellNWWqNU Of course there is usually more than one way to skin a cat (I hate that expression - I love my kitty!) and it might come down to the preference of the resulting fabric. Your blanket will look awesome either way ❤️

Love your crochet blanket and the colors are gorgeous. If your stitch count is correct I wouldn’t worry. Looks like the chevron pattern. Sandra from cherry heart podcast has great tutorials.
