Hi Kay, I always feel that Advent is fun.... but with all the work you do for Vlogmas... no wonder you feel some pressure! Thank you for sharing on Vlogmas, it always adds to the fun of my Advent. 💖🤗And your office is amazing ... more knitting is good! Katrinkles is awesome, lots of cool tools to find and order on their website! Happy knitting!

You should hang the alpaca skein from your grandma on the wall like your sock blockers! Then you can see it and be reminded of your grandma every time you see it. It shouldn’t be hiding. 😊

I crochet a lot of potholders, personally I use a 5mm crochet hook and start with 40 chain stitches. My husband prefers a larger potholder to fit his hands better. I also use lily sugar and cream yarn. My favorite color way right now is Mistletoe.

The tour of your Yarn Cave was so much fun! I adore those cabinets. I'd be arranging and rearranging yarn for hours. Oh that's too bad that you're allergic to alpaca. I finished a shawlette from Alpaca yarn this spring that my neighbor gave me,-it's from her sister's Alpaca farm in Newark OH. I love it-it's so soft and warm. At my fastest I couldn't get a DK sock knit as fast as you do. I'm a "thrower" which probably slows me down. I just can't seem to get the hang of Continental knitting-wish I could. Maybe I could knit through my stash faster? 🙄 Whoever is getting those DK socks will love them-that blue is gorgeous! I have 1 more thing to knit for Christmas for one of the little girls across the street. I finally had to tell myself that there's NO WAY I can get anymore knit before Sunday when we go to our daughter's in NH for an early Christmas. Watch-I'll still try to squeeze it in.🤦♀ As far as your large advent projects go-look at all the fun things you'll have to work on to start the new year!!!

Your attitude is definitely right about doing all the things on specific days. Candles and ducks can easily be done whenever you need and not on the numbered day! You've got a lot going on, be kind to yourself! That yarn stash is fantastic and definitely SABLE (stash acquired beyond life expectancy), though you seem to knit a lot faster than I do! I really enjoy planning a 'Make 9' list every year and sometimes do a few things like hats or baby garments that aren't on that list. Do you enjoy the planning of knitting? I'm sitting here in Vanuatu, in front of a fan, 30*C (86*F), crocheting stripey teddies to give to my daughters and the niece who lives with us, for Christmas. Thanks for sharing your vlogma knitting time with me!

Katrinkles has mini tools that are like little squares and she has one for women's shoe sizes and men's shoe sizes and it tells you inches for foot length based on shoe size! They're really helpful for knitting socks on the go!
