As I get older I think the structure of vlogmas changing works better with my life and structure as well. I love the holiday content but I understand and I know everyone else understands that it’s unrealistic to expect your family to create such a large amount of content. i’m a tutor and i’ve worked with kids in waldorf, montessori, and public schools! i love how waldorf and montessori do a wonderful job at preserving curiosity and independence and just overall joy, but just from what seen it can make it difficult to adjust to a public school afterwards because they don’t learn the same structure/curriculum/responsibilities (not necessarily in a bad way!). if/when i raise a kid i think i would pick montessori but make sure to also teach more standard curriculum at home so they can adjust easier later. if they have a hard time in high school it can make college especially stressful.

I'd love a video on cloth diapering, I also have cloth diapered for 10 months and love hearing about other people's systems. Have you tried wool covers for nighttime over flats/preflats? The best!

for the chocolate mousse, look up sweet simple vegans recipe (fellow youtubers)…they use maple syrup for the sweetener and it incorporates well. there’s also a little bit of melted chocolate in their recipe if I remember correctly. i’ve made it many times for non vegans and they loved!!

Meghan, my mother in law in a Waldorf teacher in mass and she loves it, the students are so entirely different then public schooling. Every time I talk to her she blows me away with all that she does with those kids!!

I agree with talking with the elders. Recently I i was chatting with my sweet neighbor who lost his wife about a year ago. He normally puts up this giant hay turkey at thanksgiving and then decorates it with a fun wreath snd hat at Christmas. Well I asked him if he was putting it up this year and he said I've been thinking about it. He sweetly said my wife loved it. The very next day he put it up. Let people know you care.

Hi Meg! Firstly, I love all of your videos and thank you for your comforting content!! Secondly, I started collecting Merry Mushrooms after you mentioned them in a video a while back but unfortunately it just came to my attention that a lot of the collection was painted with Lead paint. We tested ours and they did come back positive. Please test yours!! I'm conflicted on keeping them or not but even if we keep them they should never be used for food. Just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware. Im sure you know the dangers of lead, esp around children. Im very sad about it too obviously since they are cherished in my home. i heard this too! i tested our butter dish & it came back negative but maybe i should test again? i don’t keep anything edible in the jars i have but i do use the salt & pepper shakers. i’ll retest everything today!

I’m loving our real tree we got this year and we gave it about 4 days to fluff out before decorating. Only part that sucks is we’ve been finding to many spiders roaming around. And the seller lied to us. They said the tree would smell good. There’s no smell and I am watering it everyday.

That's too funny! I bookmarked Snow Republic a few weeks ago when I watched a travel channel with an episode about VT recently. Peter Sentenello who owns the channel went to that brewery to talk to the people about what Brattleboro is like. Very cool place indeed!

@meghanhughes Errrrr yeah, it's called "They ruined my hometown- Don't let this happen to yours") 😅 It's because he grew up around that area, he went back there recently and he witnessed an insane amount of drug use on the streets and a lot of homelessness so it broke his heart. He always tries to be as neutral as possible and lets the random ppl he meets along the way tell the story. But that brewery with the vault was so super cool I had to bookmark it. I really hope things are gonna get better over there!
