This week I invite you along for the latest chapter of Vlogmas and my final video of 2023!
It’s safe to say that this wasn't the cheery Vlogmas finale I had initially envisioned, but instead I like to think that it is a story of resilience, community, and the strength that emerges in difficult times.
Life works in mysterious ways, but there is always a silver lining, and it’s so important to try and find the positives. I make an effort to be as ‘real’ as I can be with you all, however I almost didn’t share this week’s escapades as I’ve been on quite a rollercoaster of emotions. Nevertheless, I know that sharing, talking and connecting is indescribably important in trying times, and can also help others who may be going through something similar, so here we are.
In this episode, I share a challenging and emotional day as I set out to check on my father, fearing the worst. While the situation initially caused very deep concerns, the support of the community and everyone around him as we all rallied together, showed how strength and togetherness can emerge in extremely challenging times.
I want to take a moment to sincerely wish each one of you a heartwarming and joyful Christmas. Your support this year means the world to me, and I hope this festive season fills your lives with love, laughter, and moments of pure happiness.

Can totally relate to your visit to your father. I hope he gets the right help,support and diagnosis. My Mum lives with us now as she wasn’t coping well on her own in the last 2-3 years and this year she was diagnosed with mixed dementia and I am afraid things are tricky she has great days and not so good days but needs our support and love. I am glad your acupuncturist was able to reassure you and hope things improve for you. Look forward to 2024 and your vlogs. Xx😊

Glad the outcome with your Father wasn’t as bad as you first thought and good that you now have contact details from within the community. Oh gosh Charlie, what a roller-coaster end to the year for you. Thank goodness that your acupuncturist was able to reassure you and give you some good advice. It is such a searing time when we see our loved ones begin to change with age, but I hope it is a great comfort to you to know that your father is being well supported through his local community as you navigate him through whatever direction the journey ahead may take him. How lovely to watch Santana beginning to learn about the big wide world - you must be so proud to see the mature and calm way that Coco is bringing her on. Oh, and I have to say that I absolutely love the delightfully pretty tablescape that you have put together! With all very best wishes to your and your family at Christmas - enjoy having a good rest and the chance to reset for a truly positive and uplifting 2024. xx

Hi Charlie , I’m half way through your beautiful vlog , you are so amazing and I think the world of you ! You’re so inspiring , upbeat and talented . Something happens to me when I watch and listen to you , and I’ve needed this so much this week . One of my darling dogs had to have major surgery on Tuesday, unexpectedly and suddenly . He was only 9 and my most best friend. He survived 24hours post surgery and suddenly died at the vets . I’m beyond heartbroken, as is my husband and son . Just being able to see and be a little part of your world , grounds me and makes me feel that I can cope again . I hope you and your lovely family have a lovely peaceful Christmas . I also love all the horse updates , riding most of my life aswell , i understand too well all the work involved . Keep strong and well lovely lady Xx

I’m so glad you shared this experience. Many people online curate their lives and it’s easy to assume it is constantly wonderfully jolly.
