So beyond happy when I got the notification that you posted a video!! It cannot be Christmas without your vlogs - the advent calendar opening ... the beautiful winter sweaters ... the recipes ... the search for the Grand Fir - these things just make it feel like December / Christmas! The Lucerne eggnog looks amazing, but it's not available in Ontario :(

Omg!! Heey!! Haha I always think about you when we do our advent calendars haha. And thank you!! Both sweaters today are from J Crew. They always do the most festive sweaters! Can you believe that every year the grand fir is such a nightmare? Haha it's like the curse of vlogmas every damn year hahaha. Omg no! Okay I'm going to officially try to find other places for the Lucerne eggnog! I don't even like normal eggnog, but this one is superior, and you at least need to get a chance to taste it!!

@@kristi-anne I checked their website. The eggnog is only available in the western provinces and the Northwest Territories. We have Sobeys here in Ontario, but they don’t carry it. Hopefully they expand their market soon…

Oh no way!! That sucks! I just looked it up, and apparently Lucerne is owned by Safeway (which in the US is also Vons, and Fred Meyers as well). Apparently Sobey's also carries Lucerne. I hope you'll get to try it! I'll try to find a comparable eggnog that is more widely available haha

@kristi-anne and totally agree with using thighs. So much more flavor. Would think the chicken breast would be so dry?

I love chicken thigh for flavor and being juicy, but most of the time, I eat chicken breast because it's the healthier cut haha. I think it could be good in a stew though because the gravy would add back moisture 😊

I hadn't thought about using a package for dumplings before either! I think it's genius. I want to try it again but with less water to get more of the consistency I'm used to. Thank you - appreciate the well-wishes haha. I'm praying and knocking on all the wood that we can find a tree on Monday 😂. Sebastian is thrilled you like his performance as my sister. It's hard to film because he's so funny once he gets the wig on 😂.

Hahahaha it's funny because someone asked me before if Sebastian is as mischievous in real life as he is in the videos, and he's much worse 🤣 Unfortunately his pranks wouldn't fit into a vlogmas intro haha. Chicken and dumplings is so perfect for this time of year! I can't believe I haven't made it until now! And no 🤣 They have frozen my watch time since this summer so I haven't been able to reapply 🥲.

Haha sooo many people think that! I hope I'll catch his mischievous side on camera at some point. I'm hoping that by some point through vlogmas my account will open back up for reapplication!! You need to have 500 subscribers, I believe, and 4000 watch hours in a year, but because I only really post around the holidays, I'm only at 3000. 🙁

🤪 He repeated this to me today, as if he genuinely didn't understand... I explained we only have garland around two windows in the entire house and one stair set... therefore, you cannot have too much garland hahaha. I think the math made sense, but the reasoning didn't, hahaha! The intro where he swapped our gifts was my favorite, too haha. I loved Sebastian's diva character as my sister.
