Now, a singer to enlighten your shopping videos. Keep it going, Rebekah. Janice, by looking at your variety of foods, it came to me how much you, dear momma, appreciate your family. Many have hard times on buying enough or nutritional foods to feed their families. We give food donations as well as cash to help families in our community. Years ago, when I told you we had rice and beans and beans and rice in growing up. Many did and might be really having limited foods because of not enough income or larger families. I appreciate you for your talents. America and viewers out of our nation really need your videos. Others are on KZbin. It helps. I am figuring out on my personal menus for one month and have those items stored. Medical bills, another leg surgery start on Feb. 1st. It want be long till I have to pay for lawn care. So, watching my spending on myself is important. My husband can eat whatever he wants. My weight is like a yo-yo that can put on weight after getting 25lbs off. Sugar and salty foods does it to me. Just like a gun doesn't kill people it is the person that loads it and open rounds. I am needing to get back into sewing crafts. Being so stressed with everything is not good. Thank you and your sharing your family. It is good Spirit. 🙏 Can you post scripture on your videos? I am wanting to start cooking outdoors when it gets warmer.

We live on a farm a d in the spring and summer very busy with spring planting and haying. I always keep some Digiorno pizzas in freezer for quick meals. Very helpful.

I'm doing the challenge as well. Modified for my family's needs. My priority is to use all those items that are close dated or any food that we have had for a long time. Things we bought and weren't as fond of. My next priority is using up items we have that will be replaced by our garden or items we will be canning and processing in the spring. So like you I have some items I don't intend to restock. Even some items I don't intend to put up again this year. The challenge is more about not having anything go to waste. Being intentional about your stockpile. Being a responsible homesteader. If you want an idea for breakfast, I mix up a breakfast casserole or two with eggs ,milk,cheese and veggies. I pour it in muffin tins and bake. Takes way less time. Put in containers and reheat as needed. Can reheat in microwaves or oven. Probably in an air fryer. I eat them cold sometimes. Love your common sense approach to everything. Rebecca is so stinking cute. Such a happy well adjusted child.

I think it’s a good thing because food doesn’t last forever even in the freezer so at some point you need to eat that first so I think it’s a good thing

Hi Linette! Yes, I'm hopeful that I can clear out a lot of our older frozen products. I would also like to do a good defrost on all of my chest freezers before I start refilling things again later. I love tidiness and organization, so this aspect of the pantry challenge is really motivating to me! 💕🥰💕🥰

Hopefully you are looking at dates too, making sure to use up what is close or over the use by dates. Sometimes these pantry challenges are a time to reorganize and take note of what needs used up not about saving a ton of money.

I call things like those pizza - my “rescue meals”. I keep frozen beef patties that can go freezer to grill and buns in the freezer as another “rescue meal”. I also make meatloaf muffins and freeze. Straight to microwave for another rescue meal option.

Hi janice wouldnt you have saved on the salads at 10 box? I only saw 1 that was 1.65 at kroeger ? 🎉🎉

The tricky thing is that 10% upcharge at 10Box. Once they add the upcharge onto the sale price, then the Caesar salads are really selling for $1.85 for the 10 ounce bags whereas I paid $1.69 at Kroger for the 11.4 ounce bags. Now, I absolutely did pay more ($2.11) for the 13.5 ounce Buffalo Ranch salads at Kroger, but I'm ok with that because my family really loves those flavored salads. It's worth the little bit extra to me just to see them get excited over fancy salads :)
