Driver's that complain have valid criticism though these drivers get the most shit routes that include nothing but apartments and businesses with 350+ packages on a daily so there is valid criticism they have not just "complain"

You don't know how much your videos have helped and motivated me. I'm a 32 year old married woman who's spent the last 6 years working in the medical field. I got completely burnt out and made a switch to delivering for Amazon. I can't lie, I've been feeling embarrassed to explain to my family what my new job is. I didn't feel like it is as impressive as what I did before. I still wonder if this will lead to anything long term. What will I do when I'm in my 40's and 50's? But your videos have helped motivate me and make me feel more comfortable with this new path I'm taking as well as balancing work and home life. Thanks for that!

Wow meme I don’t even have the words to express myself as to how I feel first of all I am so happy that my video has motivated you to feel more comfortable I to was in the health care field and after covid happen I had to take a leap of faith “faith over fear and change my career I love the work to life balance that amazon gives me I am able to be home with my family and work on other things outside of my job , ask yourself where do you want to go from here after being a driver theres many other opportunities in the warehouse and also with your branch I have now been promoted to team leader- dispatch so I know work in the office and lead my team! That’s something I’ll be talking about soon in a later video but I wish you all the best and live for the now if your taking the necessary steps day by day in your career to get you to a next level you will get there! These kinds of videos are very interesting and valuable. I feel that way too often, the news media glorifies Amazon because their salaries for white-collar/software workers are insanely high but they neglect the folks in the warehouse as well as the drivers who break their backs making sure that things run smoothly. The reality is that not everyone is a corporate/tech worker and that blue-collar workers matter too. Thanks for sharing your experience.

I love your attitude about life. I just started for a job as a contractor delivering for Amazon. I think I am on week # 3 and I am feeling it. Now granted, I am 52 years old and have worked in an office for the last 8 years now so being physical will help me in the long run. Problem is, it is a long run. Yesterday, I had 190 stops and needed a rescue so I only did around 160. I feel bad about that but I push forward anyways. One thing I have noticed is most DA's are in the late 20's and early 30' so I imagine it is easier for them to run up to the houses. I can not run so I pace myself. The other thing I noticed is every single DA is always very happy. In a Twilight Zone sort of way. It is not creepy but noticeable. Do they know something about this job that I don't? Anyways, thanks for the video. Keep up your great attitude!

it’s all in your mind you allow yourself to feel old then that’s what you get and will reflect on how you do things. my uncle was 65 yrs old competing with people in their 20s on a 100 meter sprints and smokes them. he wasn’t athletic or works out but only had a mindset of i’m not letting anyone beat me. as far as the job goes find a pace that’s fast but won’t make you go home sore and the routine that you find efficient for you. you have these two on par and over time once you know the areas and have more experience it’s a cake walk. body will be sore the first weeks or months but that’s just a reaction to what it’s not used to be doing and after it recovers from it it’s normal. i’ve been delivering since 2014 to tell you the truth the routes now are really easy compared to when i started. back then when someone gets a route with less than 200 stops it was a light day going home about 3-4pm kind a day. training routes were 100-140 stops for the new drivers. now we get 130 stops and everyone starts crying. a lot of drivers think 130 is a lot because they are new there is only a handful of drivers that went through the same time period when i started and they are the once that won’t complain or cry about stops less than 200. most of the new drivers came in when amazon transition to DSP 2.0 which was about almost 2 yrs ago. when that happened amazon lowered volume of packages at least at our warehouse to get the new drivers trained but what this did was it gave them the mindset that these volume was the norm. when everything went up and running smooth drivers kind have a hang of it then amazon started easing the volume back to normal and the new drivers started feeling the difference because they used to the small routes that were just training routes.

Enjoyed the video. I just completed my training and I start my first full day Tuesday. I use to be a delivery driver before so I understand the hustle, but I've had a 5 year gap between the physical aspects of doing the job. I think the biggest thing I'm nervous about is being able to fully understand and get my ability to navigate the Rabbit properly. But I know my body is gonna feel that gap in the physical aspects of the job being that it's been a while for me constantly jumping in and out the vehicles with packages.

Nice video. Informative. I have some questions if you don't mind. I'm a former USPS Carrier but had to let-go the job because of short hours for the ARC position, and long distance to work. Anyway, I notice Amazon' delivery system basically mirrors USPS delivery system. But we load our truck quite differently. We don't use totes for boxes. We load the boxes in, loose, as is. And mark numbers on them for a numerical order that lines up with the Stops on the Scanner. So, if a parcel/package is marked #1, that would also be Stop #1. For package; we put them in plastic trays or those USPS plastic containers. For the boxes, we use the LIFO technique to load the boxes in the truck/van where the last numbers goes in first, and the first numbers goes in last: LIFO (Last In, First Out). I notice in your video, you pulled the boxes/packages out of the totes and stuffed them on the shelves. So, my question....how you know which one is first? I saw you scan your tote bag but you didn't scan the barcode on the package/parcels. With us, we pre-scan the barcode on every parcel/package at the station, no matter how many, so that all are in the system before we leave the station. Then switch to delivery on the Scanner that then shows Stop 1 (and so on), and the GSP map for driving direction. So we have it all in order before we leave the station and no need to stop again and organize per totes like Amazon is doing. But back to my question....how do you know which package/parcel you looking for if all you scanned was the tote label?? Does it give a description of what the package is and you kinda look for it in the tote bag??
@altagraciajordan363
@altagraciajordan363 2 жыл бұрын
When you scan the totes all packages corresponding to that tote are already pre recorder for you via the system! , if you scan the tote it will tell you how many packages are in their and the stops

Im currently waiting to get approved the background check. I'm kinda nervous bc i have a wreck less driving on my driving record and i was arrested for it with a misdemeanor in 2020 October. I took care of the case and its closed but idk if amazon will reject me for it. Does anyone know if that will be a problem?
